I suppose most people remember when they were expecting their child what will it be like? Who will it look like? Will it have dark hair or blonde or will it have any hair at all? Will it be small or huge? All these questions went through my mind. My sister, Joyce, always told me that my children would have a turned-up nose as she said that both Roy and I have turned-up noses. I don’t think she is right but I still wondered if perhaps she just may be right! Anyhow my first child was a little girl, weighing in at 7lb. 8 oz. She was a lovely child and no she didn’t have a turned-up nose! She had a whole head of dark hair and she was Oh, so cute! My second child was a little white headed boy, he weighed in at 8 lb.7oz. Sis. DeWolfe said he should have been a girl, he is too pretty for a boy! My third child, another boy weighed in at l0 lb. 2 oz. and 22 1/2 in long. He had darker skin and had the most beautiful large brown eyes the nurses fell in love with him. There were no turned-up noses and no two looked alike!
When Roy decided to build a home I wondered if he would build a small house or a large one and what it would be like. I thought I’ll try to talk him into building a large house. I was tired of a small one with 3 children. But I didn’t have to, he built a large house anyhow, Thank you, Jesus! I always wanted a big house and I still love my home, even though it may not be fancy, and I am not the housekeeper I should be, it is still my home!
When we purchased our first new car, it was a white toyota. I wondered what it would be like. However, we both loved it and wore it completely out!
I have often wondered about Outer space. I would imagine the first man to go into outer space would have been so excited! He probably wondered what would happen and what it would be like a way up there! Yuri Gagarin was the first human being to journey into outer space on April 12, 1961. Thomas Stafford said “without Gagarin first going into he probably wouldn’t have gone to the moon when Apollo 10 mission approached within 8 miles of the moon in 1969. Russia’s Alexi Lenovo was the first man to walk in space, but died later in a plane crash. The Russian Commander said the human dream of flying to the stars came true with Yuri Gagarin’s flight in l961, I can just imagine how excited they must have been!
I get so excited when I think of going to outer space! Wow! I’m going far beyond the stars, sun and moon! Right into the glories of heaven! How glorious and wonderful that will be!
I’m going to take a trip in that good old gospel ship! I’m going far beyond the sky. I’m gonna shout and sing until the heavens ring. when I’m bidding this old world goodbye!
I’m gonna get ready, I’m gonna get ready! Ready for that Judgment day to be! When I hear the trumpet blast, I’ll be on my way at last. Just open up those pearly gates for me!
