According to Websters  Dictionary to trust  means to firmly rely upon, etc,   I like to think it means to rely upon ! I like to be able to trust people! If somebody tells me they will do  something . Right now, I can’t get around to do things for myself so I rely heavily on others to do  everything for me!  Also if I want something done, I really do trust them to do it.  I don’t like to start out  and have a change in plans and cannot go! When these happen more than once then I get so that I don’t trust that person, or if we start out and  the  car breaks  down a few miles down the road  I cant trust  that car either!  Neither do I like it when I get all  ready to go somewhere and the person who was taking me calls to say they have some thing  else to do,    and they can’t possibly go today, why in the world couldn’t they have called sooner?  There are few, very few, people    whom we can  trust today!

There is only one that I really trust and I rely heavily upon him,  you may think it is my husband since he too is very good to me, but no, he can fail too at times. There is someone still more dear to me than even my husband! It is my Lord and my God,  His name is Jesus Christ, The Lord of Glory! I just want to lift His Name as high as I can, there is no one else like Him!  Psalms 34:8 says O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in Him! There are some days , I admit, that I just don’t feel very good physically but when I think of Jesus I feel real good in my soul!  Ps.34:9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints, for there is no want to them that fear Him!  What a precious promise that is!  That is why I will bless the Lord at all times as it says in Ps 34:1-4  his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear thereof and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together, I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all of my fears! Ps. 9:9& 10 The Lord also will be  a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble And they that know thy Name will put their trust in thee: for thou , Lord , hast not forsaken them that seek thee.Ex 15;2   The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation” He is my God, and i will prepare Him an habitation;  my father’s God, and I will exalt Him! He said He would give us strength as our day!

No, I wouldn’t give Him up for anything as I just can;t live without Him. He is my everything! There is no reason to be down and depressed when we have Jesus as our Lord and King!  I just love Him  he is so good all the time!

Put your Trust in Jesus. He will take you through, T’was for you He bled and died. Just look upon His face, and trust Him for His grace , and He will lead you to the victory side!     Trusting Him, while the moments fly, Trusting Him as the days go by!Trusting  Him whate`re  befall. Trusting  Jesus, that is all!Trust and obey for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey!

W H Y N O T ?

You may say ‘why not’ is a funny subject! But why not talk a bit about it? How many times have you been asked did you not do this or that, well, why not! I think we say this phrase so often it has become a habit! If we would only stop and think sometimes before we speak to answer a question it would save a lot of embarrassing situations. This morning my husband, knowing my home maker didn’t like needles, asked her to take his place when we went to the hospital, she answered “No way’ teasingly I asked,”why not?”She replied, “ because I don’t like needles in my arm! In Luke chapter 21 tells us of the day when Jesus was in the temple and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury , then he noticed a poor widow who put in a penny, He told his disciples that this poor widow gave more than the rich men,as they gave of their abundance but she gave all her living! Then He told them it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God! You may be like they were in that day and say why not? So Jesus told them another story. He said there was a certain young ruler who came and asked him, saying ‘Good Master, what must I do to be saved?” Jesus told him to honor his father and mother and to keep the commandments! The fellow said, well, I’ve kept these from my youth, is there anything else? Jesus said then go thy way and sell what thou hast and give to the poor and thou shalt have treasures in Heaven. He said that young man went went away sorrowfully for he had great riches. We could ask “why not young man, you could have ended up with riches untold”? Luke 18:18-23 Jesus also told them, in chapter 21, as they were talking about how the tenple was adorned that the day would come when there wouldn’t be left one stone upon another that wouldn’t be thrown down! As He was teaching and preaching the gospel the chief priest and scribes along with the elders came and asked who had given him the authority to do this? He also told them what to expect in these last days. Take heed that ye be not deceived: many shall come in my name, saying,I am Christ, go ye not therefore after them.ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified for the end is not by and by, Nation shall rise agsinst Nation, kingdom against kingdom.and great earthquakes shall be in divers places and famines, and pestilances and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven,…ye shall be brought before kings and rulers for my name sake..settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist….And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassd about with armies ,then know that the desolation thereof is nigh…and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles , ubtil the times of the Gemtiles be fulfilled..And there shall be signs in the sun,and in the moon, and in the stars and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity the sea and the waves roaring, men’s hearts failing them for fear! and for those things which are coming on the earth for the powers of heaven shall be shaken and then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with power and great glory. and when ye see these things begin to come to pass then look up for your redemption draweth nigh!…Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away, And take heed to yourselves , lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkedness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you unawares For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth, They probably said ,”then Lord, why not, just let us go on as we want until these signs start to appear and then we will get ready?” But Jesus said”Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Jesus also said He is coming as a thief in the night. So it will pay us to watch and be ready for no man knoweth the day nor the hour when the son of man cometh. So please don’t procrastinate for He said TODAY is the day of salvation! Why not, oh why not,oh why not come to Him now? Why not.oh why not. oh why not come to Him now?

Have you ever gone to visit a family member or friend and before you had a chance to knock or ring their door bell the door is flung open and before you know it you are being embraced in their arms and they are saying ‘ Oh, I am so glad you came’! Doesn’t it just make you feel so special? Perhaps you have never had a door slammed in your face, but I have, a few years back my sister-in-law and I went on visitation, while most people make you just feel so welcome. On the other hand, you may have gone to visit someone and the door flung open like it did to us and then with “I’m too busy” slammed it in our face! You went to help them and this is the thanks you get! It makes you feel just awful! you feel like saying, if anyone needs help today, it is you Instead you say “I’m so sorry”, and go on your way again feeling so bad for them! When we were growing up we just never locked a door as we never felt a need to. The doors were left open night and day and anyone could walk in and they would be welcome! There was an old gentleman who would stop in any time and would quite often be found asleep in the living room. I remember one night I was late getting in and was sitting in front of the window putting my hair up when all of a sudden I felt as though there were eyes on me. I jumped up and ran for Dad’s room but by the time I got to the head of the stairs there was a man at the bottom step! Dad got down stairs before he got to the top step ! We had company that night and had a full house but this man wanted a place to stay all night! Dad sent him out to the other road where he went to my uncle’s house but he had no room for him either but told him he could spend the night in the barn, which he did, and left after having his breakfast! We just trusted everyone and had no reason not to! Talking about the open door, John 10:1 Jesus said He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep! Luke 14:27 tells us that when they were come and gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how He had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. Before this the Jews thought they only had the right to worship God. When Jesus csme on the scene He changed it all about! He died for everyone, even you and me! In 1 Corinthians 16:9 Paul said for a great door and effectual is opened unto me! 2 Corinthians 2:12 Paul said again, further more when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord! James 5:9 says Grudge not one against another, , lest ye be condemned: Behold the judge standeth before the door! Rev 3:8 Jesus said, I know thy works” Behold I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it, for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied muy name! Jesus Christ is that door whereby we must be saved and if we try to get in any other way we are the same as a thief and a robber! If a thief comes to your house he usually tries to get through a window,or some way other than the main door but Jesus knocks at your heart’s door. He is a gentleman and will not force His way in but will leave the choice up to you! |One door and only one and yet it’s sides are two.inside and outside on which side are you? One door and only one and yet its sides are two. I’m on the inside on which side are you?

Have you ever heard the expression ‘I can read that  person just like an open book’?  If this is true they can invade our privacy, and not too many people would stand for that!  We as humans like to have our own private space.  I suppose most of us have at some  time or other picked up a book that was lying open and started to read only to find it not at all interesting so we quickly placed it back on the table!  They tell us to never start reading at the back of the book, but, I do this often, if the last chapter isn’t  interesting then I don’t bother to read it.  The other day my husband, who is a real  book lover,  was reading  a book ,,sniffing and enjoying his book, when all of a sudden  he dropped the book, stood up and said “that;s it”  I said”what do you mean?” He replied “it quit without an ending”! “It just quit, just like that!”  He was not at all impressed, to say the least!                                                                              Our lives are like a book. Sometimes it is the only book that a lot of people will ever read. If that is the case I truly want my life to be so filled with the Spirit of God  that His glory will be reflected in me and will be resounding to others in this sin darkened world!   I know  that I’m not perfect and never will be while living in this present world, but He is still working on me, to make me what I ought to be!                                                                                                            I must tell you about the best selling book! it Is called the Holy Bible, God’s Word, it, was written by  holy men of God as they were inspired by Him!  2 peter 1;19-21says “We have a more sure Word of Prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth  in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the  day star arise in your hearts; knowing this first¸that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For  the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man`but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  In Revelation 20:12  It tells us about the Book of Life from which the dead both small and great were judged, every man according to his works.  Revelation 21`-27  And there shall in no wise come into it anything that defileth neither whatsoever worketh abomination,or maketh a lie but they which are written in the Lambs Book of  Life!  I want to be sure to have my name written in that Book of Life!

I want to be ready to meet «him by and by!  I want to be ready to meet Him in the sky! Oh, I want to be more like Him  and do His blest command! For «i want to be ready to meet HIM IN THE GLORY LAND!

Probably we have all been in this situation at one time or another, or perhaps many times, where we wonder now what am I going to do? I have nothing left, or I don’t have enough money for food to feed my family. You feel all down and out not knowing where the next cent is coming from to pay your bills!I mean yo u may really be desperate not knowing what in the world is going on ! You may be working hard day and night but not getting ahead, or you may be out of work completely. You may have a rich relative but you are too proud to ask for a hands out! Everyone thinks you are…doing well and has no idea what you are going through! You are now at your wits end, not knowing what to do, when all of a sudden something happens that turns everything around! You may not be aware of who intervened but you are so relieved that they did. As I was having breakfast this morning and having my porridge my mind went to the poor homeless folks. They don’t even have a place to lay their head at night,, sleeping under bridges and under card board boxes, in alley ways and any place they can find for a bit of shelter from the cold, wind and rain! With no food to eat they go scavenging through garbage cans, etc trying to find a bite to eat. My heart goes out to these people, but I feel so helpless ,if only I could afford to help! There is only one way I know of and that is to tell them of God;s love for them, if they would only give Him their lives He would turn them all around and if they are addicted to Drugs and alcohol ,this addiction would be set free from the chains of sin that keep them bound! I want to tell you of some miracles that Jesus did while here on earth. After his sermon on the Mount he came down and in Matthew chapter 8 the Bible tells us that great multitudes of people followed Him. And behold there came a leper and worshipped Him and said “Lord id thou wilt thou canst make me clean.” Jesus put forth his hand and touched him saying “I will, be thou clean:and immediately he was cleansed. And when Jesus came into Capernaum there came a centurion saying “Lord my servant lieth at home sick of the Palsy, grievously tormented” Jesus said,:7.”I will come and heal him” The centurion answered and said “Lord,I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof, but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed” Je4sus said :go thy way and as thou hast believed so be it unto you.’ When Jesus came into Peter’s house , he saw his wife’s mother laid and sick of a fever, He touched her hand and the fever left her and she arose and ministered unto them! The same chapter tells us about the two men who were possessed with devils who cried out saying “Jesus, thou son of God, are you come to torment us before the time? they besought him saying If you cast us out let us go into that herd of swine! Jesus told hem to go and they .entered into the swine who ran into the water. The people from the village came and made Him leave the area. These are only a few of the miracles that Jesus did while on earth.. The Bible tells us that if all the miracles He did while on earth were written in books the world couldn;.t contain them! Jesus is just the same today! He is the only one who can and will supply our every need according to His riches in Glory through Christ Jesus our Lord! Ready to go, ready to stay, Ready my place to fill. Ready for service lowly or great. Ready to do His will! I love Him better every day,I live Him better every day! close by His side I will abide. I love Him better every day!
