How many times have we repeated this little phrase until it literally become habits? As It seems to me that I have, as every time my hubby goes out the door he says “Are you coming?” My response is “I’m on my way!” even though I may stop and get a mint!

I think of the many times that when Jesus ,was on his way to heal the sick. While He was on the way to Jairus` home to heal his daughter, He never refused to stop and heal those who cried out for His mercy. A crowd was following Him, and there was a woman who had an issue of blood. She said within herself,’if I can but touch the hem of His garment I shall be whole!` and guess what? she was made whole! Jesus knew within himself that somebody had touched him and when he asked who it was his disciples said,` Lord why would you ask that when there is a crowd about you?` He said, `I felt virtue leave my body!` When she knew that He knew , she came and confessed all to Him. He said, ` Lady go thy way thy faith hath made thee whole!’ You can be made whole today! Jairus, who was a ruler of the Synagogue came and wanted him to come to his house and heal his 12 year old daughter, while Jesus was on His way a servant came and told him that his daughter was dead, not to bother the master any further, but Jesus told him not to worry his daughter was only sleeping! When He got to the house he put them all out except some of the disciples and the mother and father then took the girl by the hand and said, `Damsel arise!’ She arose and Jesus said, `Give her something to eat!`

Then one day he said ‘ I’m going to see Lazarus, he sleepeth ‘, His disciples said ‘ If he sleepeth, he doeth well’ (in my own words) Jesus said ‘He is dead, I am going to raise him up’? Martha heard He was coming and ran to Him. She said Lord, if you had been here he wouldn’t have died’ Jesus said, `He will rise again.` Mary heard He was there and went running to him and said the same thing as Martha did to him. He asked ‘Where did you lay him?` Mary said, ‘He has been dead four days and by now he stinketh` Jesus said ‘’roll the stone away’ and when they did He said `Lazarus, come forth!’ and he came forth still wrapped in the grave clothes! He said ‘loose him and let him go! Can you just imagine the joy the sisters experienced that day?

We serve this great God today, and He is just the same, still doing these miracles today! , A few Sundays ago at the Ripples United Pentecostal Church a Bro, by the name of Jerry Stafford passed away in service there was a nurse there and they couldn’t even get his heartbeat, so they prayed for him and by the time the paramedics arrived he was completely healed! Yes, He is just the same today!

You can`t make me doubt Him! You can’t make me doubt Him! You can’t make me doubt Him in my heart! No you can’t make me doubt Him for I can’t live without Him, no you can’t make me doubt Him in my heart!

oh, I feel like pressing my way, yes I feel like pressing my way! I am on my way to heaven and I feel like pressing my way!

Perhaps you have been so tired of being closed in your home for so long that you just want to take a nice long vacation and it doesn’t   really matter where, if only you can get away!  When you come back you feel it was good to have gone!   I  remember  this happened to
me at one time, but it is so much better if you take the time to plan before hand!    I Think it is so much better for all concerned!  I like to know if company  is coming so that I can prepare for them, and I think most people feel like that too!  Then again  you may get ready  to go and something comes up and hinders you from going!
I remember one such trip when it seemed as if we just were not supposed to go! We managed to get on the highway and the trailer hitch broke so it took us most of the day to get started! We got to our destination late that evening. But I was stubborn and said I am going there!
I am ready to take a trip again, and I am going there!  How do I know?  I got prepared already, and my mansion is waiting for me! You can guess where I am planning to go, it’s Heaven, of course!  I am just waiting for the Lord to come and take us away!  I did what he said for us to do to get ready, according to Acts 2:38. And now I am waiting for His return. I want to live holy as He is holy!  I don’t want to be caught living in sin or I won’t make it in as Jesus said that no sin is going to enter there! (Rev,21&27) And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie, but they which are written in the Lambs Book of Life. So it will pay to have our name written down!
Is my name written there ,in pages white and fair, tell me Jesus my Savior is my name written there.
I’m on my way to those mansions fair, just over in the glory land, there to sing Gods praise and His glory share.  Just over in the glory land I’ll join the mighty angle band just over in the glory land.

As a child, do you recall playing with your neighbours when your mother would call you to come home? You were having so much fun that you really didn’t want to leave right then so you stayed for a while longer, but in a few minutes you heard her voice again and you thought this time you had better leave.  When  you got home she had a surprise waiting for you, your favourite cousin was waiting for you, had you stayed another few minutes you would  have missed out, as they were ready to leave!  You were so glad you had heeded the call before it was too late!

I remember I went to work in Sussex as my first job and also my first time being away from home. I had a little sister 12 years younger than myself, who hadn’t  started to school, but had gone across the field to play with her little friend.  She didn’t  know I was coming home that day, but when I went out and  hollered “Myrna” She recognized my voice and came running up the hill as fast as she could!  She was as excited, as was I, as was only  home for a few hours as I had to go back to work the next day!  Sometimes it really pays to pay attention when you hear your name being called!

There has been times when I was so engaged in a book that when my hubby called my name I didn’t even hear him!  It wasn’t that I did it intentionally either! I was just so taken up with the story!  It is coming close to a day when my name will be called again and I don;t want to be too busy to hear it!  I hope all my family and friends will also hear their name when it is called and will be ready to answer, Yes Lord, Here I am! Then we will hear  “Thou good  and faithful servant. enter into the rest that I have prepared for you!”

But in order for us to hear that we have to prepare ourselves to meet Him!  If you don’t know how to get prepared  I will tell you how, and hope you will believe me!  In Acts the 2nd chapter , verse 38 & 39 you can read it for yourself! On the Day of Pentecost , Peter stood up and told the unbelievers what they must do to be saved, and it is just the same today! God has never changed his mind!  You must repent of your sins, (be sorry for your sins, enough to completely turn your life around) and be baptised in the Name of Jesus for the remission of your sins, and Jesus will fill you with the gift of the Holy Ghost!  Then you must walk holy in his sight, for He is Holy! If you will just taste and see how good God is I’m sure you will want Him in your life and will wonder how you ever got along without Him in your life!

Calling you, Calling you, don’t you hear the blessed Saviour calling you?  He will take you by the hand, lead you to that promise land!  Don’t you hear the Blessed Saviour calling you?

Calling today, calling today,Jesus is calling, tenderly calling today.Come home, come home,ye who are weary come home.earnestly ,tenderly,Jesus is calling ,calling oh sinner come home.

I’m trying to write another book as I do this story, from now on my stories are apt to be quite short. Hence the title-“And That’s All Folks!” I started writing in August of 2009, when  the Lord told me to write!  I answered by saying, “Lord, I’ll do this as long as you tell me what to write.”  So when I asked for another title today, this is all I got! I am not saying that I won’t be writing any more stories, but I am terribly slow and getting slower!  I still plan to do at least one story each week–Lord willing!

This morning started off when our cat (Lucky), upset my carnations, that my husband got me for Valentine’s Day, on the floor!  She knows she can bother me, as I can’t get around to chase her!  I can’t even swat her hard enough. Because of this she thinks I am playing with her.  One day she was tormenting me.  So I took a ruler I had in my hand and started hitting her.  So, she grabbed a cushion off the chair and rolled on to her back and held the cushion in front of her, as if to say, “Keep on playing with me, I don’t care!” Roy was watching and got a real laugh out of her!

We have been watching Bro. Irvine Baxter’s DVDs (The End Time series) on Wednesday evenings at church, which are about the end times.  They tell us what to expect concerning the time we are living in today.  Jesus said, “No man knows the day or the hour when the Son of man cometh”, but we do know the signs of the times that we are living in.  He also said, “When ye see these things begin to come to pass then look up for your redemption draweth nigh!”  So, as we know, we are in the last days! Jesus is coming sooner than we might think for His people  and it would pay us to get prepared for this great  event!  Perhaps you are wondering what must I do to be in that number, who go to be with the Lord?  On the day of Pentecost they asked Peter, “What must we do to be saved?”  He answered, “Ye must repent and be baptized, in the name of the Lord Jesus, for the remission of sin, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost!”  He went on to say, “For the promise is to you and your children and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God, shall call.”  That means you and I today!  How do I know?  I know, because I have the Holy Ghost!  And you may have it too! Christ died on the cross, to grant us liberty! Over every sin, there is perfect victory! I have it and I know it!  And you may have it too! And that’s it folks!

Try Jesus!  He never fails! O’er evil, His love prevails. Through sunshine or stormy gales!  Try Jesus!  He  never fails! Never failed me yet!  Never failed me yet!

Jesus love has never failed me yet!  Where so ever I go, this one thing I know.  Jesus’ love has never failed me yet!

Have you ever been in a large crowd and somebody is sitting in front of you with a small child or a baby?  You instantly think, “I wish they would lift him/her up so that I can see him!” Then everybody stood along with the person who had the little one placed it over their shoulder and a great big smile appears !  You may think, “That is the sweetest baby ever!”  But you couldn’t even see it until they lifted him/her up!  Or perhaps you are at a concert at a Children’s school, and a child gets up to say his/her part but they can’t be seen until the teacher intervenes and lifts them up a bit.  Now everyone seems to be drawn to them!  They think they are just adorable now that they can be seen!

One day a teacher came to earth and told His disciples, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me!”  Many said, “What does He mean?  Is not this the carpenters son? We have known him all of his life! He worked in the carpenters shop and we have gone fishing together” We know he does some strange things, but what does he have in mind now?

We remember the day we went to Peter’s house and his wife’s mother was sick with a fever but Jesus made her whole! She got right out of bed and ministered to us!  We remember the first strange thing he did too.  He had gone to a wedding and his mother came and told him they had no more wine!  She told the servants to do whatever he said. She must have known him to do strange things at home too! Jesus then told the servants to fill the water pot with water and to bear it to the Governor of the feast! I don’t think they even questioned them about it!  When the Governor had tasted it he said to the bridegroom “How come you have saved the best wine to the last? They usually serve the best wine first and when everyone has well drunk then they serve the bad, but you have saved the best until the last!”   We again see Jesus at Mary and Martha’s house! Lazarus had passed away and Jesus came to do another miracle!  When Mary saw Jesus she said, “If only you had been here he would not have died!”  Jesus wept!  He said, “Where have you laid him?” Mary said, “He has been dead for four days, by now he stinketh!”  Jesus said,”Roll the stone away!”  When they had rolled the stone away, Jesus cried, “Lazarus come forth!”  Lazarus came forth dressed in his grave clothes.  Jesus said, “Loose him and let him go!” The Bible tells us he did so many miracles the world couldn’t contain them!  So let’s just lift Him up!  He is still doing miracles today!

Lift Him up! Lift Him up!  Still He speaks from eternity.  He said, “If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me!

I recommend the LORD to you!  i recommend the Lord to you!  If you’re in need of a Saviour , I recommend the Lord to you!

Jesus is coming very soon and there is only two places we can go, it is either heaven or hell for you and me, and I don’t want to see anyone go to hell and I sure don’t want to go there myself!

So it is your  choice!  Please choose Heaven!   Jesus won’t force you.  He gave you a mind of your own but He said, “Today is the day of salvation!”  So if you are not ready to go to be with HIM I  suggest you get ready now!  Don’t put it off any longer as tomorrow may be too late!  Help me Lift Him up today!

Oh, I want to go there, I want to go there, I want to go there, I do!  I want to go there, I want to go there, I want to go there, don’t you?

I used to be a worry wart!   I would worry about everything until one day I  realized it wasn’t doing me any good, nothing was changing at all.  I couldn’t  possibly change anything by myself!  I thought I was a Christian, so why was I worried?  I was just worried about everything!  I remember when I was living away from home before I was married I used to worry that something would happen to my Dad, as he  was suffering from a heart disease!  I would ask God  every night to protect him and then keep right on worrying about him.  I would worry about my work, and about thunder showers of which I was terrified!  It was just this past summer that I slept through every thunder shower!   I now depended on Jesus for protection!  As someone said,  “Did you pray, why worry?”

I was thinking about different ones in the Bible who walked by faith and didn’t seem to worry!  Abraham was called a friend of God.  He walked by faith and trusted his God!   When God told him to take his only son up to the Mount and slay him, he was obedient and didn’t even question Him!  He just trusted Him!  That is the kind of faith that I want to have in God!  I then think of Job who said. “Tho’ God slay me yet will I trust Him.”   One day when the disciples were out on the water in a storm, Peter saw someone walking toward the ship and he called out, “Jesus if that be you bid me come to You.”  Jesus said, “Come!”  And Peter went walking to Him on the water and the sea was rough and boisterous.  Peter took his eyes off Jesus for just a minute and began to sink, so he called out for Jesus to help him. Jesus then took him by the hand and led him back to the Ship and the water became calm! Jesus said one day when He was teaching his disciples, “Blessed are they who have never seen and yet have believed!”  This reminds me of the little woman who was out picking up sticks to start a fire as she was going to make a cake with a little meal and oil she had left and then she and her son were going to die as there was a severe famine in the land!  But the Man of God came by and in my own words said,  “Maam, what are you doing?”   She answered, “I’m getting some sticks to make a fire to bake a cake for my son and I, and then we are going to eat and die!” But Elisha answered her, “Make me a cake first!”  She must have been in tune with God for that is what she did.  And Elisha told her the oil and meal would not diminish until after the famine was over!  And she obeyed and had enough to feed the three of them until the end of the famine.  She was a woman who trusted God.

We know we are living in the End Times and Jesus said, “When ye see these things come to pass, then look up for your redemption draweth nigh! We don’t know just  what we may have to go through before He comes to take us home, but I am praying for strength so I can say like Job of old, “Tho’ He slay me, yet will I trust in Him!”   We know that if we take the mark of the beast we will be damned for all eternity.  Without God, but with Satan and his angels for all eternity!  If they only knew what hell was going to be like, I am sure nobody would want to go there!   I’m afraid so many don’t even know that Christ came to earth as a babe in a manger and died for their souls on Calvary, if they only they knew that He loved them so!  If they knew Him they wouldn’t have to worry any more!

Trusting as the moments fly.  Trusting as the days go by.  Trusting Him what ere befall.  Trusting Jesus that is all!

Just as I am and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot. To Him whose blood can cleanse each spot, Oh Lamb of God  I come, I come!

Just as I am without one plea.  But that thy blood was shed for me and that thou bidd’st me come to thee, Oh Lamb of  God I come, I come.

Just as I am tho’ tossed about with many conflict many a doubt. Fightings and fears within, without , Oh lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am wretched, blind; Sight, riches, healing of the mind,Yea all i need, in Thee to find, Oh Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse relieve; because Thy promise, I believe, Oh Lamb of God, I come, I come.

When I was just a youngster we really looked forward to Christmas! A couple days before Christmas Dad would take us kids and we would set out to look for a Christmas tree! After finding what he would call a suitable tree he would cut it down and we would haul it home! He would set it up for us and perhaps would have to bore some holes in it to place some extra branches to make it look fuller, then would let it set overnight to give the branches time to thaw. The next day it would be ready to start decorating and by Christmas Eve it would be already for Mom and Dad to start putting the gifts under it.  We were always told there was no Santa as they always said they didn’t want to lie to us. We had three uncles who were not that much older than us who also spent most of their Christmases with us and they received a plate of Candy with their name on them too!

Getting back to Christmas in the Country, when I was a youngster in our country school, we had a concert at Christmas. everyone was involved, and if any little boy or girl got nervous and forgot their part, they weren’t belittled but were still cute!  We did not have electrical power in those days and nobody ever got hurt or burned with the lamps or candles that were used!  Our teacher read the Bible story of Christmas and prayed, of course this was not against the law in our day! Children had a great respect for the teacher, and were well behaved!  The teacher had Grades from One to Nine and had no problem with them! And then the teacher would give out treats to all that were there!

We also had a Program at Church, here everyone was involved from the youngest to the Adults, the Adults usually put on a play or two and some SKITS The little ones usually had a verse or a little play with a manger and baby Jesus! The church would be packed with people who came to visit. Everyone would receive a bag of candy when the plays, etc. were done.  The Pastor and his wife usually had a part in the plays too! Gifts were usually passed out at this time to the Sunday School children, and those who worked for the Church including the Pastor and his wife.  Everyone went home feeling it was good to have been there!

The next thing we knew it was Christmas day! After we found our candy and opened our gifts then Dad would read the Bible and pray, then it was breakfast time!  This was all done before we could play with our gifts. Then we would receive visitors /or go to visit our neighbours and see what each one received for Christmas! After this it was time to go out on the hills for a time of fun sliding!/ or skating  After a turkey dinner out we would go again!  What fun we had at CHRISTMAS!
