The Journey

Have you ever started out on a journey, perhaps it was just a vacation with the family, when you remembered something you were supposed to take with you and had to return home again? that isn’t a very nice feeling and can sometimes spoil the trip for ever, everyone! We started out on a vacation onetime when our children were younger and about fifty miles down the highway we began having car trouble. We had a little trailer attached to the back of our car and the trailer hitch broke and we had to go all the way back to Or. St. Mary’s to have it fixed. I can remember that we were not a happy family that day as we couldn’t leave until almost supper time and we were so tired of waiting around to have it fixed , but since my sister was expecting us in Souris, P.E.I. we had to start out again with three little bears in the back seat! I should say by the time we arrived there were two more bears in the front seat! Anyhow,I think you get the picture! As you know a journey isn’t always pleasant as there so many things that can happen that a broken hitch would be mild. However, on the other hand, if all goes well a journey can be a beautiful experience! When I was younger I always loved to travel even if I never went very far! My daughter-in-law and two granddaughters just came home on Sunday ,they had taken a journey to Miami and went on a cruise! They came in the other night and was telling us what a great time they had! Kelsy said she didn’t even want to come home, she was having so much fun! There are just so many different kinds of journeys that we take. The journey that I am on right now is called the Journey of Life. On this journey we can take so many different ways. One of these ways which we can take is our own selfish way. Now this way can easily lead us into trouble, right from the start! We just don’t want to listen to anything anyone tries to tell us! So off we go on our own ways. There are really only two highways on this Journey although many have turned off and tried to start out some other way on their own. On this journey down through life we are servants! Perhaps you think “I am nobody’s servant” ,but we are all servants . That is, we either serve the enemy of our soul. Satan, or the one who gave His life for us, which is Jesus Christ!I want to say like Joshua,” as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” Now. I know that we can bring up our children in the church but when they become of age, since they have a mind of their own, they often go their own way.The Bible tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Although he may never accept the LORD as his Savior, he will never forget what he has been taught! Satan does all he can to get people to serve him as he knows his time is short and he is going to be cast into a Lake of fire and brimstone, and he sure doesn’t want to go by himself, he wants to take everyone else with him! He comes as a sheep in wolf’s clothing! I don’t want to be caught in any of his snares. He makes things seem so special and he knows our weak points and that is what he goes after! We have to be on guard at all times. If you have heard the gospel story and know how to be saved I suggest you accept the Lord as your Savior right now while there is still time. Read Acts chapter 2,verse 38 and obey it. Don’t be Satan’s slave any longer but be free through faith in Jesus Name.
At the end of the journey, the journey is God. Though I’m footsore and weary, my feet poorly shod. I will lay down my burdens, my staff and my rod, For at the end of the journey is God!

First of all I want to say Thank You for letting me air my remarks on world clock! I read with interest the blog and some of the remarks got me thinking about time!  Time is so strange when we stop to think about it.  How long is time? Time goes by so swiftly. It is not for man to know the number of his days. Psalms 90:l2 So teach us to number our days, that we may  apply our hearts unto wisdom!  1 Cor.7:29 But this I say Brethern, the time is short,,,.Romans 13:11..And that, knowing the time , that it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when  we believed!. Rev. 10: 5-6 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth, lifted up his hand to heaven , and sware by Him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, And the things that therein are,  and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and things which are therein, that there should be time no longer. I too, believe that we are living in a great abyss of time and that one day soon Time will be no longer!  There isn’t one thing   man   can  do to prevent it from happening for God is in control! We read in the Book of Revelation what is going to happen in the last day and it will  pay us all to believe God’s Word and be ready when that terrible time comes.. God;s Word tells us ‘he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved”  This old world is lining up just the way the Bible  said! May God be real good to you!  He said whosoever will may come and drink of the water of life freely! It is high time as we are living in the midnight hour!

just any day now, Our Lord is coming, He’ll be returning for you and me.I am watching and I am waiting. Just any day now His face I’ll see!

Have you ever gone to a party and as you go in they present you with a book and say “Please write your name”, this is so that in future they can look back and say “so and so” was at my party! This happens also at the funeral home so they can send out appreciation cards. I have a friend in a nursing home who as soon as we walk in she will say ‘don’t forget to sign my book before you leave” and she is apt to remind us again as we are preparing to leave!

Everything today has our name, The Government; The Police Department,When you get your car license, or pay your taxes you have to sign your name. If you have a credit card or a Bank card you have to sign your name. When you get  Life, married you have to sign your name  or (perhaps I should say if you get married today).  If you get a mortgage or even a loan you still have to sign your name!  If I meet someone for the first time I usually say ‘and what would your name be?” Then come home and write their name and address in my address book or my journal as I find that is the easiest way to remember them the next time we meet, as my memory is very good but terribly short!

There is a Book where I want my name to be written down, it is called the Book of Life! Rev.3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall. be clothed in white raiment , and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of life  Rev.21:37 And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever  worketh abomination, or maketh a lie, but they which are written in the Lamb’s Book of  Life!

Is my name written there, on the page white and fair?  Tell me Jesus, my Savior, is my name written there?

Does it not make one feel good to have someone come up to you and say “I love you”! It makes me search my heart as I wonder how they could ever love me!  There are at least two ladies in the church who tell me this about every time we meet and it really does make me feel so small compared to them as they are great ladies!  This Valentine’s Day is a day that so many people looked forward to so they could tell their loved ones and spouse how much they love them! It makes me feel sad when someone says “Nobody ever tells me they love me!” I am so glad that I have a wonderful husband who tells me this every day! It doesn’t need to be a special day for me to hear this, although it does make the day seem more special!

You may think “I haven’t a soul to love me”or I haven’t anyone  I can go to  and say “I Love You!” I want you to  know there is one who does love you and me too, as I go to him everyday and tell Him “I Love You” and He in turn tells us that He loves us! He not only says it  but He shows us just how much He loves us! There is a big difference in really meaning it and just doing lip service! Now I know that most of us have at least one brother that we dearly love. I now have two but at one time had three. When we lose someone it makes us appreciate the fact so much more!

Proverbs 17:17  Says a friend loveth at all times, Again the Bible says “There is a friend who sticketh closer than a brother! I want to tell you who this friend is – His name is Jesus Christ, the Lord of Glory!  Saint John 3:16 says For GOD so LOVED the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!

I love Him. I love Him, because He first loved me! He purchased my redemption at Calvary!

I love You, I live You, I love You! What more can I say but that I really love You! And I’ll try to live my life so that it says it too!   love You,  love You, I really Love You!

I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine’s Day!

J O Y !

When my first  child was born I felt such Joy. so she became Cindy Joy!  I have always liked that as a name. I remember in my class at  school there was a Joy and she always seemed to be so happy! My step-Aunt (who is just about my age) has Joy as her middle name! So you see I feel I know a lot of Joy!  I still felt joy when my two boys were  born and I still feel joy whenever they come for a visit! I also have a granddaughter called Natasha Joy!  Along with three other granddaughters I have a lot of joy in my household!

I have found a way to have a lot of Joy  by putting  Jesus first, others  second and yourself last, and this spells JOY!  I also think when we pray that is the order to pray in. If we put Jesus first in everything we do and say, we can lift up His name and feel such Joy. Then secondly we can pray for others and it makes us feel so good to know that He hears us and  will answer the cry of our heart and will touch the hearts and lives of those we pray for with healing and salvation!  Then we can bring our own needs to Him and know that he hears and will answer our cry! He always answers our prayers, maybe not the way we think he ought to do it, but in His own way which is always best as he knows the end from the beginning!

Another way to have joy is to give to others. The Bible tells us to give and it shall be given unto you good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over shall men  give into your bosom!  Luke 6:38.  There is joy in giving and I found it to be true. The more you give to Jesus the more He will give to you! So give till you can’t give any more, give more than you can afford1 You’ll find your cup will overflow, for you can’t out give the Lord!

Nehemiah 8:10 says The joy of the Lord is your strength Luke 15:7…..Joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth! verse 10…There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that  repenteth!  Psalms 16:11 In thy presence is fullness of joy!  1 Peter 1:8  Whom having not seen, ye love,  whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of  glory!

I have found His grace is all complete, he supplieth every need. While I sit and learn at Jesus feet. I am free, yes free indeed!  It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,,full of glory, full of glory! Yes it is joy unspeakable and full of glory and the half has never yet been told!

The joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength, the joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength!  He gives me living water and I thirst no more, He gives me living water and I thirst no more1 He gives me living water and I thirst no more!  The joy of the Lord is my strength!.

You may have just seen a beautiful new coat and thought “How I would love to have that, I wonder how much it cost?” It may have even been a car or something you wanted so badly, you really wanted it but didn’t like to ask just how much it cost! Then again, you may have wanted to sell something but didn’t have any idea just what you should ask for it! Perhaps you wanted to have a yard sale but didn’t know what price to put on all the different things!  Whenever I go to a yard sale I don’t try to beat them down in price but just fork over whatever they have set on it if I want an article. My hubby on the other hand will look at something he would like to have  and will say, “how much for this?” If they say $40.00, he will say I’ll give you $20.00” and most of the time they will  accept his offer!  A lot of folk want the best of everything but don’t want to pay what it is worth!   There used to be an old saying “You just get what you pay for!”  I do love to hunt for bargains the same as everyone else and I am really thrilled when I come across one!

The best bargain I ever did attain was all paid for and had my name on it!  It was purchased at Calvary! Jesus Christ ( the very God ,himself) went   to an old rugged cross and gave His life for you and me!  What did it cost?  It cost heaven’s best!  When he Savior reached down for me, When He reached  down His hand for me. I was lost and undone without God’s only Son, when He reached down His hand for me!

He paid a debt He did not owe, I owed a debt I could not pay!  I needed someone to wash my sins away. And now I sing a brand new song, Amazing Grace. Christ Jesus paid the debt that I could not pay!

T’is done. the great transaction’s  done. I am my Lord’s and He is mine!  He drew me and I followed on charmed to confess His voice Devine. Oh Happy Day, Happy Day since Jesus washed my sins away. He taught me how to watch and Pray and live rejoicing every day! Happy Day, Happy Day, since Jesus washed my sins away!

The Greatest Treasure!

When I was just a child I loved treasure hunts! I remember at our Sunday School picnics we would have treasure hunts and of course whoever found the most of whatever was hidden would get another prize for finding the most, whether it be candy or balloons!  Sometimes it may even be change!  Then came the time when I was a Sunday School teacher, Oh what a joy it was to get the children to go treasure hunting. When we had Children’s church We also had a Treasure hunt, this time we found precious stones or gems hidden in the Bible1

The Bible tells us jn Revelations ch 21 that the walls of the city are made of Jasper and the city is made of pure transparent gold as clear as glass. The foundations are garnished with all manner of precious stones and the twelve gates are twelve huge pearls! The twelve tribes of Israel are written on the twelve gates and each of the twelve foundations has the name of one of the apostles  of the lamb. There will be no temple as we will not need it for He will  be there!  There will be no need of sun or moon for HE will be the light thereof. In the midst of the city will be the throne   of God out of which flows a river of life Beside the river on either side is the tree of life. which has not been seen since Adam was driven out of Eden. When sin is gone and the redeemed are all home  the tree of life will  again appear and bare twelve manner of fruit at one time. There will be twelve yearly crops of this fruit and the leaves will be for the healing of the nations  Life and healing will again be combined as it was in the Lord’s supper! What a glorious sight this will be!

Matt 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth , where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal!  For where your treasure is , there will your heart be also!  Where is your treasure? On the other side, treasures there have I. Treasures that this world in all it’s wealth could never buy! When I reach that city, the gates  will open wide.  And there I’ll have my treasure over on the other side!

What a wonderful treasure! Gift of God without measure! We will travel together, my Bible and I!

I want to go there, I want to go there! I want to go there I do! I want to go there, yes, I want to go there! I want to go there, don’t you?
