F E E D M E !

When we came into this world we had to be fed by our mothers! That is one reason why God made mothers! Instinct kicked in when they heard that certain cry which could only mean one thing,” feed me, I’m hungry and I want to be fed! Don’t you just love those tiny babies who are so dependent upon you? Even grown-ups can really make a big fuss when they are hungry! Animals too can let us know when they want something to eat! We have a little kitten, who came to us as a stray, she had to be fed with an eye dropper when my son found her at his camp at the Lake. She was so tiny she just fit in the palm of our hand. She was also a very pretty kitten She is a calico cat, and keeps herself so nice and clean! She is also a very smart kitten, my husband has her spoiled rotten! At night she stays in the basement, she knows when it is bedtime and makes a beeline down the cellar steps and looks up through the register in the hallway for her nightly treat! She also does this when we go out! She doesn’t eat very much but we do know when she wants to eat by that mmeow! that means “feed me! When we think of those little children in foreign countries where there is so much famine and the little ones are starving to death it just breaks our hearts! It must just about kill their parents when they hear their hunger cries and can do nothing about it. We are so fortunate to have lived in this land of plenty! God has been so good to us! Father Abraham and David both said “I was young, but now am old, but NEVER have I seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread! God always has and always will look after His own! 1 Kings chapter 17:18 The story is told how God cared for and fed Elijah the Tish’bite when there was no rain for three years in the land of Israel! If God could do it back there, He can still do it today! He is just the same God, He does not change, He is the same YESTERDAY,TODAY and FOREVER! Bless His Holy Name! It was the same day that the disciples were out fishing and Jesus came and told them to cast their nets on the other side that their nets were full of fish and when they got to shore Jesus had fish cooking on a fire and told them to “Come and Dine” Jesus ate with them , then He said to Simon Peter, Lovest thou me more than these? He said,”Yes Lord, you know that I love you”. Jesus said unto Him, “FEED MY LAMBS! Jesus said unto him the second time and also the third time Lovest thou me more than these? Peter answered him Yes Lord thou knowest that I love you! Jesus said both times Feed my Sheep! Jesus is still calling us today to feed His sheep! He is the Shepherd and we are the sheep of His Pasture! He sees the hungry hearts and wants them to be fed! .God’s Word tells us that we can’t live by bread alone but by every word of God! He loves us and will make us over anew! I want more of Jesus, More and more and more! I want more of Jesus, than I ever had before! I want more of His great love, so rich and full and free! I want more of Jesus, so I‘ll give Him more of me! Jesus has a table spread where the saints of God are fed! He invites His chosen people come and dine! With His Manna He doth feed and supplies our every need oh tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time! He who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine, to the hungry calleth now, Come and Dine!

While in the Hospital today I heard a lady say that she is going down east to visit some family. She also said that she doesn’t drive herself but goes with somebody else twice a year!I thought she sounded really good, as I took her to be about my age if not a bit older!I really can`t see myself going that far any more although it would be nice to get away for a few days on vacation! Lately my vacation usually amounts to going to the Doctor`s office or Hospital for blood work and back home again. I have a friend who, a few years ago, went to the Middle East! She had a great time! What a beautiful experience it would be to walk where Jesus had trod, and just to see the empty tomb! I also have a granddaughter who says she would like to visit Israel! Myself, I really don’t think I would like to go to the Middle East right now as it would be too dangerous! I don’t think it is going to get any better either, according to Gods Word! I think it would be a bad place when money fails and a person couldn’t get home without THE Mark 666 on your hand or forehead!

If you don’t know a soul it would make it pretty rough! Jesus told us certain things to watch for as signs of the time! He said when ye see the armies encamped about Israel then look up for your redemption draweth nigh! Then again the Euphrates River is supposed to dry up so the kings of the North can pass over,- which it already is doing! If you will listen to the news on the radio, you will hear of earthquakes and tremors all over the world! This too, is a sign of His soon return!

You may say, "I thought you were going to talk about vacation" and that I am! I am planning to take a trip and I won’t be afraid of anything as I won`t have to worry about anything anymore! just any day now I am going on a trip to Outer Space! It will be a real Vacation. I am going to the New Jerusalem!I will once again be with family and friends who have gone on before me! I wont have to worry when I cross to the other shore. all my burdens will have been lifted, and I`ll rest in Him secure. There My eyes will be on Jesus, He`s the one that I adore and I won`t have to worry anymore! Just any day now, my Lord is coming! He`ll be returning for you and me! Oh,I am watching and I am waiting, Just any day now His face Ill see!   Thank You, Jesus for your great and WONDERFUL PROMISES!  They are yea and Amen to those who believe!  Eternity is just ahead!

Isn’t it a good feeling to know that you are all prepared when you know that company is coming1 You have worked hard  and it has really paid off! The dishes are all done, the floors swept and scrubbed.the beds are all changed and the cooking is all done, even the table is all set.  Now you can just relax and sit watching and waiting for your Company to come! When I was a child we went to school by bus, we would get all ready and go stand and watch and wait at the end of the driveway. We knew just about what  time the bus would come but if we were just a minute too late all we would see was the bus going down the  hill! We had missed it  because we were too late!  When we wanted to go meet someone who was coming from  Fredericton we would get ready and we could see the train coming away out the track from the kitchen window, then we would hear the whistle blowing and we would be on our way and arrive just as the train was pulling in to the station!  On several occasions we flew to Montreal, but we had to be at the airport at least one hour early. This was due  to the fact that we had to have our luggage checked and we didn’t want to miss our flight.  It pays to be prepared and watching! In Matthew chapter 22 Jesus told a parable  unto the people of how  a certain king which had a marriage for his son and sent forth servants to call all that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.  How sad this would have been. Again he sent forth other, saying  to all them which were bidden, Behold I have prepared my dinner…all things are ready come unto the marriage!  They just made light of him and went their ways  and even went so far as to slay the servants!  When the king heard this he was angry and sent his armies and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city, Then he said to his servants the wedding is ready but those which were bidden were not worthy go into the highways and bid all that you see to the marriage, so they went out and gathered both good and bad so that the marriage was furnished with guests. When the King came in to see the guests he saw there a man not wearing a wedding garment.  And the King said “Friend. how did you get in not wearing a wedding garment?” And the man was speechless!  Then the King said to his servants,”bind him hand and foot and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and  gnashing of teeth! ‘ For many are called but few are chosen!

We had better get prepared to meet our Lord, just being a good person isn’t good enough!  if in Acts chapter two  when they asked Peter “What must we do to be saved?”  He would have said “all you need to do is to be a good person, do the best you can  and you will be saved!” But no, He told them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift  of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and your children and to all that are afar off. Even as many as the Lord our God shall call! That day there were added to the church 3000 souls!  It won’t be good enough on that day to just be a good person. We must obey what Peter said to do! Then we can live a Holy Life through His precious blood and be ready for that glorious day!

When He sees me, He sees the blood of the Lamb   He sees me as worthy and not as I am!  He views me in garments as white as the snow. For the Lamb of  God is worthy. He has washed me this I know!

I was sitting in the car waiting for my hubby to come out of the mall when I heard sirens coming closer and closer! All of a sudden the fire truck and ambulance were stopped in front of my car at the mall entrance. They hurriedly ran into the mall with a stretcher in tow. My husband came out just then so I didn’t find out what happened! I do hope they rescued someone who may have blacked out, perhaps had a heart attack, a bad fall or something! I  heard on the radio about the 26 miners in Nova Scotia who lost their lives in an explosion. They couldn’t be rescued when an explosion happened underground some twenty years ago many of  the   wives and families are still mourning their loss!  To me this was a terrible tragedy! Then another terrible tragedy happened in 2001 in New York  two jets  plunged into the twin  towers killing several hundred people  a few years ago an Air India Plane went down in Peggy’s Cove, N.S. killing 300 or more people. I don’t think anyone was rescued as it happened in the black of night! If you are like me you may find it very depressing to hear this kind of talk! This is the kind of talk that Satan wants us to hear.If he thought he could discourage every last person on earth he would be so happy! Instead of getting down over everything we hear that happens we should just fall on  our knees and cry out to our God in prayer. I can guarantee you will feel so much better after talking with Him! He is a God of every situation!   It is so good to hear of someone  being  rescued! I don’t like to listen to the world news anymore as everything is so corrupt!  But God is still the master of every situation!  The Book of Revelation tells us what  is going to take place in the future, it also tells us what will happen to those who love and worship God ! Oh, how I want  to be in that number! He rescued me, he rescued me from the cold dark waters of life’s troubled sea! He rescued me, he rescued me! Jesus reached down in love and he rescued  me!

My first recollection of going fishing was when I was about six years old. My Uncle Mel came and took my 2 brothers, my sister and I up to the Coburn brook, we were going fishing! Uncle Mel made us fishing rods from small tree branches and string and fish hooks and sinkers,on the string. What fun we had that day! I believe it was on that day that I caught my first fish, a small trout with uncle’s help! After this my sister and 2 brothers and I went fishing many times on the banks of little river which runs right behind our home! In those days we didn’t need a fishing license and could run down to the river at any time and catch some fish, mostly chub! My Dad loved fishing too and would take us down river in his canoe with a small motor on it and we would catch pickerel and other fish, have a picnic and then coming back up stream we would fish all the way. On June 29,1961,my brother Ernie went down river fishing with two friends. Now my brother couldn’t swim and was alone in the boat, he stood up to cast his line and his leg struck the handle and he was thrown overboard. One of his friends who was on medication at the time and wasn’t supposed to go in the water seen Ernie struggling and jumped in to save him. When he hit the water his heart burst and they both died! The bodies were recovered the next day. They were just 18 years old! After I married Roy, he too would go fishing, I went with him on one of his fishing trips to Pine Tree Brook. I was wearing a red coat and he kept telling me that a moose was coming after me and scared me so bad that I never again went fishing up there with him! One day later on we took Dad and Mom up the Cains River where we caught our limlt of trout and cooked them there on the shore and had a picnic
. We all really enjoyed ourselves that day. Dad passed away shortly after that. I thank the Lord for the good memories of the times we spent together with them! There ia a story in the Bible of how Peter, James and John went fishing, this was how they made their living, the Bible tells us they were fishermen. They had spent the night on the water and had caught nothing. They were on their way to shore when they heard a voice saying “Children, cast your nets on the other side of the boat!” The disciples probably wondered who is this guy? We have fished all night and haven’t caught anything we are tired and going home to rest! They were probably so discouraged! But I can just imagine John speaking up “well boys, let’s just try it one more time” so they cast their on the other side of the boat and lo and behold their nets were full of fish! They caught so mnany they thought their nets were going to break so they had to get some of the other boats to come and help! When they came to shore,Jesus was standing there with a meal all ready for them. he had cooked fish for them! So this was the one who told them to try sgain! But how and where did he get the fish that were cooking on this fire? Another time Peter was worrying about paying his taxes, Jesus said “Peter, you go down to the river and the first fish you catch will have a coin in its mouth, take the money and pay your taxes and mine also! Can you imagine the surprise when he opened his mouth AND OUT FELL MONEY! How did Jesus know there was money in a fish’s mouth? But GOD KNOWS ALL THINGS! HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY! Before he ascended on High He called His disciples unto Him and told them to go forth and fish for men! He loves souls and doesn’t want anyone to go to Hell! That is the reason He went to Calvary as a ransom for men’s souls.Matthew 20;28 says Even as the Son of man came not to be ministe red unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many! He said follow me and I will make you fishers of men! He is still calling men and women, boys and girls today to go forth and work for Him in His Harvest fields. He said the fields are white already to harvest but the laborers are few He would be so pleased if you would tell somone else about Jesus today! Let’s go fishing for Jesus today bringing in the lost. It will be worth it all some beautiful, glorious day! There is a chorus the kids sing which says I will make you fishers of men, if you follow me! Peter and James and John went fishing, Peter and James and John went fishing.Peter and James and John went fishing out on the deep blue sea! They fished all night and they caught no fishes, they fished all night and they caught no fishes, they fished all night but they caught no fishes out on the deep blue sea! Then came Jesus walking on the water, then came Jesus walking on the water. then came Jesus walking on the water out on the deep blue sea! Then their nets were full nof fishes.then their nets were full of fishes out on the deep blue sea! How excited they must have been! We must always remember when fishing and working for the Lord to be a follower of His and not try to get ahead of Him and trying to lead Him! He already knows the way! He has already been there!

I received a comment from someone who asked  me to give them something they could check out, something more tangible! Now if I made  a batch of fudge and  if I asked my husband to check it out for me, what do you suppose  he would  say?  I think he would say “ well, the    first thing I  would have to do is try  it!”  Then he could tell just what he thought of it!    So in order for you to check these stories out.something  more tangible, I will have  to somehow  give you something  that you can  check out for yourself”   Psalms 34:8 says “O taste and  see  that the Lord is good!”   John 3:16  “For God  so   loved the world, that he gave  his only begotten son , that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life! For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved!  Matthew, Mark, Luke and John tells of the many miracles that Jesus did  while here on earth.   Acts    10:38.    How    God    anointed     Jesus of  Nazareth with the Holy ghost and with power who went  about   doing good and  healing all   that were oppressed  of  the devil for God was with him.John 21:24 & 25  This is that disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true, and there are also many other things which Jesus did the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain  the books that should be written!  We can then turn to Acts chapter 2 where they received the same experience I have been telling about, as I have received it too!  So I too know that his testimony is true!

Let’s go to the book of Acts Chapter 2 :verse 2  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a mighty rushing wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance  Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem , Jews, devout men out of every nation under heaven.   These people hearing the commotion in the upper room said they were all drunk. Now Peter, who had denied Jesus 3 times before His  Crucifixation stood up and said, these are not  drunken as ye suppose, seeing  it is  but the third hour (9 am) of the day verse 16 but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; and it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh.; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams!  And on my servants and on my handmaidens  I will pour out of my spirit in those days and they shall prophesy: And I will show wonders  in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood and fire and vapor of smoke  The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come; And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved!  When they heard this , they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles,Men and brethern, what shall we do?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy Ghost. For the     promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our  God shall call !  that means for you and me too! There  is a chorus that  I like = Honey in the Rock. sweet   honey in the rock, Oh,it tastes like honey in the rock, Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good for it taste like honey in   the Rock,   Another one says “Satisfied, Satisfied, He said He’d be my comforter and He said He’d be my guide. I’ve been baptized in Jesus Name. I spoke in tongues when the Holy Ghost  came. Ever since that wonderful day my souls been satisfied”!
