When I was a child I hated to be left behind as I just did not like to be left alone! We lived in the country and everyone had to go to the Post Office in order to use the telephone! We were pretty much isolated from the rest of the world! On looking back it seems to me that not only was I very shy but also cowardly. I graduated in l957 but didn’t go out on my own to work until April 1958. This was due not only to being so shy but also because my mother was ill and every time I mentioned leaving home would  tell me how much of a help I was to her and I would feel guilty about leaving her right then.  In April I went to work in an insurance office in Sussex. Since I was dependent on my uncle to get me both to work and sometimes to Ripples I didn’t get home very often. Then I went to work in Fredericton and was home about every weekend.  My father now was ill with his heart problem and I was trying still to help Mom on the weekends,  In 1965 I moved back home and travelled to work each day,  Then in 1966 I married and still tried to help Mom and Dad.  Dad really didn’t want me to marry but to stay at home. I got married anyhow and have no regrets.

In 1987 on Nov 9th. I went out to Mom and Dad’s house to see my new nephew as My sister had arrived the night before.  Dad had come home just before I got there and was sitting in his chair when Cindy and I went in.He left us at 9:10 am.My mother was now really left alone until my nephew Mark moved in with her and he improved her situation!  Then in 2003 Mom left us on Sept.9th about 5:30 pm at the Oromocto Public Hospital.  I felt so alone now but was real grateful for my wonderful husband and family. There are days when I still miss my parents and all my friends and relatives who have gone on to a much better place!  I do hope I am never left alone, I really don’t think I have to worry about my husband just taking off with some other woman after almost 45 years of sticking with me. I know he  deserves a medal!  But we have no promise of tomorrow. As my Dad used to say, we are both living now on borrowed time!  We just don’t know what the future has in store for either of us!

I do have a very special Friend who said He would never leave me! St John 14:18“I will not leave you comfortless’;I will come to you!’  Hebrews 13:5 “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee”!

There’s a peace in my heart that the world never gave. A peace it cannot take away; Tho’ the trials of life may surround like a cloud, I’ve a peace that has come there to stay!  Constantly abiding, Jesus is mine. Constantly abiding, rapture divine: He never leaves  me lonely, whispers O so kind: “I will never leave thee” Jesus is mine!,

We were on our way to Minto this morning when about 1&1/2 kms ahead we saw something shining in the ditch. Fearing there had been an accident, I asked “Roy, what is that, a snowmobile?” He replied “I don’t know” It looked to be quite a size whatever it was! As we drew nearer it kept getting smaller in size until it almost disappeared! When we came right to where it was I asked “what is it?”, again “I don’t know”. When we were coming home Roy stopped the car and this time I saw a circle of metal or glass,  I don’t know which it was, about one inch wide hanging about six inches off the ground. We were both awestruck it was truly Amazing! An hour before it had looked so huge with the sun shining on it!  Amazing!

I guess we all see things sometimes that we don’t understand and are amazed by them.  It may be something a child says or does and we are prone to say “isn’t that the most amazing thing ever!”

When I was just a teenager I saw something that still amazes me and I just called my sister to verify it again before I put it on my blog! We didn’t have a car back then so had to walk where ever we went. One cold winter night we were walking home from Youth Service, we had to walk through close to a mile of woods. There were six or eight of us young people I just can’t remember how many for sure. I can remember though what happened, as we got about 1/4 of the way through this woods we looked up as we saw a bright light and there just above the tree tops was a circle of colored lights that was following us! It would dive almost down to where we were and then back up to the top of the trees. Our little legs sure flew toward home over those hills that night!  Our house was the first but we had to go on to the next as the other family was terrified to go on by themselves. We then ran back up the hill with this thing still following us and into the house, up the stair, and landed on Dad’s bed! Dad got up and went to see what was happening but as you can imagine the thing was gone! It was Amazing!

I am amazed most of all by the Love that my Lord has shown for me! How He gave His Life and shed His precious blood for you and for me!  He gave me to my christian parents who taught me more about Him! He saved me as a child and I was baptized in His precious name and He then filled me with His Holy Spirit and I spoke in other tongues just as they did in the Book of Acts. He gave me my husband who also loves the Lord and has had this same experience with His Holy Spirit! He gave me my family and I have a daughter in the Ministry! He has healed my body many times.  He has just been marvelous! In fact, I am just AMAZED that He the King of Glory,  would make me His child!

I was amazed when He told me to write these stories for His Glory!  I love all the comments I receive on my blog but all the praise and the Glory belong to Him as I cannot do anything on my own! He amazes me more  each and every day! Praise His Name!

He changed my life. He made me happy. He gave me peace beyond compare. He promised me He would never leave me and if I ever had a problem I could call and He’d be there!

I’m Coming!

Whenever we are going out my hubby will say “are you coming”? I usually reply “I’m coming’ and he will say “so is Christmas!”  I have never been very speedy but Parkinson disease has really taken its toll on me! I am slower than ever before, I think the turtle and even the snail is speedier than I am!

Sometimes someone will say ‘Are you going with me, usually I reply “yes. I’m coming” when actually I will just be getting ready to go.  Perhaps you may have told somebody “I’m going to visit you one of these days!” You didn’t say any certain day or what time    of day.  Then you wake up one morning and say “well, this is the day that we visit so and so.”  When you arrived at their home you found they were not their, they had already left and you may have even met them on the highway but didn’t recognize their car at the time.  They probably expected you to let them know you were coming and since you didn’t you will all be disappointed!  Perhaps again you told them you would be coming at a certain day at a certain hour and couldn’t make it for some reason or other, or you may have tried to call only to have them say they are sorry, but have other things that are more important to do today, and can’t meet with you! They really don’t appreciate you and you feel so hurt and rejected!

My very best Friend has told us he is coming very soon! He even wrote us a letter telling us to prepare, be ready, watching and  waiting for Him to come. He even told us the signs of His coming in Matt 24:4-14. He also said that Jerusalem was to become a nation which it did in 1948, He told us there would be eqarthquakes in various places, tragedies, and pestilences, etc. but He tells us to be strong because he that endureth unto the end shall be saved!

Easter is right around the corner! Let us take time to read the story of His resurrection and ascension on High! Jesus Christ is coming back very soon Although He did not tell us the day and hour, he did tell us the season of His return   He is only taking those who have prepared to meet Him! Today we are living in such a busy and evil world many people seldom take time to even think about the Easter season  or what it means!  It would pay each one of us to get ready to meet our Savior today Jesus says today is the day of salvation, He could come today! We must obey Acts 2:38  Yes, It is for us today!  He says “I’m coming”!

Jesus is coming again, coming again, coming again. May be morning, may be noon, may be evening and may be soon, Oh, what a wonderful day it will be! Jesus is coming again!

Why is it so easy to remember all the bad news we ever received but we have to stop and really think hard to remember the good news? Let me tell you some of the good things I can remember.   I was just 4 years old when my family received news we were moving to a large old house. We were so excited, especially my mother. We had been living in a small house and now she had four children. I can still remember moving day!  The next year I received more good news!  A school  board member (my future father-in-law) gave me permission to start school after Easter, I was 5 years old and now thought I was quite grown up! When I was 7 years old I was told I could have my first birthday party and boy, was I ever excited! What a day that was! There are many more good news reports but I can’t take time to recall them right now.

Of course if we didn’t have any bad news times it just would not be real life, would it?  I remember Dad getting his notice to go for a medical to see if he was a good candidate for the Army!  He didn’t pass the medical and we were more than happy as now he could stay at home with his family, When my maternal great grandpa passed away I was only 6 yrs, old, but what a sad time that was! Another sad time was when my paternal grandmother  passed away, She was very close to all of us!  I’ll never forget the night we received the bad news that my younger brother had drowned at only 18 years of age! There have been so many bad news reports they are too numerous to mention here!  Lately I just hate to listen to the news as it seems there are just nothing good happening anymore!

There are good news reports and then we receive the bad reports but I am sure the good outweigh the bad!  For instance in church just Sun. night  we heard so many good reports about what God is doing, I just get so excited when I think about what God can and is doing! He is healing the sick and saving lost souls! He has already warned us that in the last days there would be terrible tragedies and earthquakes in various places. We are seeing this happening all around us.  To the natural human being it is a very scary time but we know we are living in the last days   and it would pay us to be ready for just any day now our Lord is coming!  What a glorious day that will be for those who accept Him as their Lord and Savior! When He went away He said, “I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you!  He has already come to us by His Holy Spirit!

Isn’t He wonderful!  Every since I can remember we have been told by His Word how it would be in the last days and now we are living in these last days and seeing His Word fulfilled! Everything is happening so fast, if you are not ready to meet him, please prepare yourself as one of these days it is going to be too late! I sure don’t want to miss out in the end!

Isn’t God good to give us so many blessings, undeserving that’s what we are!  i want to serve Him, Love and Praise Him,  more today and a whole lot more tomorrow! i have good news to bring and that is why I sing. All my joys with you I’ll share; I’m going to take a trip in that good old gospel ship, and go sailing through the air!

Rejoice means to be exceedingly glad!   Are you rejoicing today? You may ask why should I rejoice when everything seems to be going so wrong for me?  I feel that we have so many reasons to rejoice if you live in this country of Canada as I do!   We live in a free country and have freedom of speech.  Most importantly is our freedom to worship the one true God!  In many countries today many people are being persecuted for worshiping Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior so severely they have to go underground!

I recently read a book about a man from China who was thrown in prison and beaten so severely that he was beyond recognition and they left him for dead. He was also interrogated for hours trying to get him to recant.  His wife and family members were also persecuted . He remained strong and true to the Lord who brought him through this rough time and he was reunited with his wife and family and is alive today to tell his story!  Thank you Jesus!

I often wonder if this persecution came my way if I too would be strong enough to withstand the enemy. I sure hope and pray I  would remain true to my Savior!  Isa. 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God, for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. I believe that we may not feel too well physically but can be joyful in our soul.  Even though we are still human and we don’t have the promise of an easy life we can rejoice in the God of our salvation and be exceeding glad!

As Paul said in Rom. 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine ,or nakedness or peril or sword? verse 37 Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor heigth, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

Oh How I love Him. How I adore Him, My God, my Sunshine, my all in all.   The great creator became my Savior, and all God’s fullness dwelleth in Him!

I feel good, I feel good, Just to know I’ve been redeemed makes me feel good! I feel good, I feel good, Just to know I’ve  been redeemed makes me feel good!  Praise His Holy, Sweet Name!  This is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!

What does obedience mean to  you? There are people who just wouldn’t obey anyone, they think they can just go on in their own way, but sad to say some end up in a sorry mess! It is so nice to see children obey their parents today because it is very rare that they do. Most children are taught that they don’t have to obey, they have their own rights and their parents are not allowed to make them behave.I should think this would make it very hard to raise children today!

While waiting in the emergency room of a hospital awhile back there was a little girl who had been there over two hours. This little girl was only 5 yrs, old and was such a nice little girl. Her and I hit it right off, we played games and she drew a picture for me.  Her name was Brooke!  She was such a pleasant child although she was ill and had to wait for so long to see a doctor.  Whenever I see a child who is polite and mannerly I like to congratulate the parents who do such a good job raising their children in todays world! . Eph.6:1-3 Children obey your parents in the Lord; for this is right, honour thy father and mother;which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, that thou mayest live long on the earth.    Col.3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: this is well pleasing unto the Lord. If we obey our parents and please God we will have a longer life on this earth. Now lets see what Prov.23:13=14 has to say: Withhold not correction from the child. for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with a rod and shalt deliver his soul from hell, Now I don’t beieve a child should be abused but I do believe every child needs to be corrected when needed! Prov,29:15 says The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Even so must we as adults be obedient to God’s Word! We think of the boy Samuel who was obedient to Eli the Priest, he became a prophet and judged Israel and anointed Saul to be King of Israel. Now SauL went to war with the Amalekites and disobeyed God’s command to destroy all Amalekites. Saul told Samuel  that he had obeyed but had saved King Agag. He also saved the sheep and oxen to sacrifice unto the Lord  When Samuel realized what Saul had done  he said to Saul Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices  as in obeying the voice of the Lord ?  To obey is better than to sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams,. for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft  and stubbornness is as the iniquity and idolatry.

I want to be obedient in all the Lord would have me to do for Him! I want to lean on him and to trust Him with all my heart!

Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey!

Another year has rolled around again and spring is on it’s way in less than three weeks if the Lord tarries!  Today is March 3, it is just a year ago today that I had  a stroke, but God has been so very good to me! The sun is shinning today but quite windy, it’s suppose  to warm up some  tomorrow Roy just came in and said there is another 11/2 feet of snow on the shed roof to be taken off, he has only taken it off 3 times recently! But all in all we have had a great year and God has been so good to us!

Before we know it, it will be time to get the ground ready for planting, I hope that I’ll be able to plant a flower garden this year myself. I love pansies, yellow roses, etc.  It will also soon be time to pick mayflowers, trilliums etc. Lady slippers are so pretty but it is against the law to pick  them now. the bears and coyotes are so plentiful that it is hardly safe to go for a walk in the woods. Although winter is my favorite time of the year , I also like the early spring. My two oldest children were born in March and I always look forward to their birthdays. My youngest has his birthday in November which is also a nice time of year.

I look forward to new life in the spring. It is also time to celebrate The Easter Season – Christ’s death burial and, resurrection!  It is a time of joy for those who know Christ as their personal Savior!  There are so many people who have never heard of Jesus Christ but I am so happy I can say He is my King and He will come so soon to take us home. We are so blessed to live in this country where we are free to worship this wonderful God who arose from the dead and is alive today! Life is so fragile and we have no hope of tomorrow! Let us live today as if it was our last day on earth, as it could easily be, let’s work for the Lord with all that is within us!

How sweet to hold a newborn baby, And feel the pride and joy He gives, But greater still the calm assurance, This child can face uncertain days, because He lives!   Because He lives I can face tomorrow. Because He lives all fear is gone; because I know he holds the future. And life is worth the living just because He lives!
