Have you ever been in a large crowd and somebody is sitting in front of you with a small child or a baby?  You instantly think, “I wish they would lift him/her up so that I can see him!” Then everybody stood along with the person who had the little one placed it over their shoulder and a great big smile appears !  You may think, “That is the sweetest baby ever!”  But you couldn’t even see it until they lifted him/her up!  Or perhaps you are at a concert at a Children’s school, and a child gets up to say his/her part but they can’t be seen until the teacher intervenes and lifts them up a bit.  Now everyone seems to be drawn to them!  They think they are just adorable now that they can be seen!

One day a teacher came to earth and told His disciples, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me!”  Many said, “What does He mean?  Is not this the carpenters son? We have known him all of his life! He worked in the carpenters shop and we have gone fishing together” We know he does some strange things, but what does he have in mind now?

We remember the day we went to Peter’s house and his wife’s mother was sick with a fever but Jesus made her whole! She got right out of bed and ministered to us!  We remember the first strange thing he did too.  He had gone to a wedding and his mother came and told him they had no more wine!  She told the servants to do whatever he said. She must have known him to do strange things at home too! Jesus then told the servants to fill the water pot with water and to bear it to the Governor of the feast! I don’t think they even questioned them about it!  When the Governor had tasted it he said to the bridegroom “How come you have saved the best wine to the last? They usually serve the best wine first and when everyone has well drunk then they serve the bad, but you have saved the best until the last!”   We again see Jesus at Mary and Martha’s house! Lazarus had passed away and Jesus came to do another miracle!  When Mary saw Jesus she said, “If only you had been here he would not have died!”  Jesus wept!  He said, “Where have you laid him?” Mary said, “He has been dead for four days, by now he stinketh!”  Jesus said,”Roll the stone away!”  When they had rolled the stone away, Jesus cried, “Lazarus come forth!”  Lazarus came forth dressed in his grave clothes.  Jesus said, “Loose him and let him go!” The Bible tells us he did so many miracles the world couldn’t contain them!  So let’s just lift Him up!  He is still doing miracles today!

Lift Him up! Lift Him up!  Still He speaks from eternity.  He said, “If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me!

I recommend the LORD to you!  i recommend the Lord to you!  If you’re in need of a Saviour , I recommend the Lord to you!

Jesus is coming very soon and there is only two places we can go, it is either heaven or hell for you and me, and I don’t want to see anyone go to hell and I sure don’t want to go there myself!

So it is your  choice!  Please choose Heaven!   Jesus won’t force you.  He gave you a mind of your own but He said, “Today is the day of salvation!”  So if you are not ready to go to be with HIM I  suggest you get ready now!  Don’t put it off any longer as tomorrow may be too late!  Help me Lift Him up today!

Oh, I want to go there, I want to go there, I want to go there, I do!  I want to go there, I want to go there, I want to go there, don’t you?

I used to be a worry wart!   I would worry about everything until one day I  realized it wasn’t doing me any good, nothing was changing at all.  I couldn’t  possibly change anything by myself!  I thought I was a Christian, so why was I worried?  I was just worried about everything!  I remember when I was living away from home before I was married I used to worry that something would happen to my Dad, as he  was suffering from a heart disease!  I would ask God  every night to protect him and then keep right on worrying about him.  I would worry about my work, and about thunder showers of which I was terrified!  It was just this past summer that I slept through every thunder shower!   I now depended on Jesus for protection!  As someone said,  “Did you pray, why worry?”

I was thinking about different ones in the Bible who walked by faith and didn’t seem to worry!  Abraham was called a friend of God.  He walked by faith and trusted his God!   When God told him to take his only son up to the Mount and slay him, he was obedient and didn’t even question Him!  He just trusted Him!  That is the kind of faith that I want to have in God!  I then think of Job who said. “Tho’ God slay me yet will I trust Him.”   One day when the disciples were out on the water in a storm, Peter saw someone walking toward the ship and he called out, “Jesus if that be you bid me come to You.”  Jesus said, “Come!”  And Peter went walking to Him on the water and the sea was rough and boisterous.  Peter took his eyes off Jesus for just a minute and began to sink, so he called out for Jesus to help him. Jesus then took him by the hand and led him back to the Ship and the water became calm! Jesus said one day when He was teaching his disciples, “Blessed are they who have never seen and yet have believed!”  This reminds me of the little woman who was out picking up sticks to start a fire as she was going to make a cake with a little meal and oil she had left and then she and her son were going to die as there was a severe famine in the land!  But the Man of God came by and in my own words said,  “Maam, what are you doing?”   She answered, “I’m getting some sticks to make a fire to bake a cake for my son and I, and then we are going to eat and die!” But Elisha answered her, “Make me a cake first!”  She must have been in tune with God for that is what she did.  And Elisha told her the oil and meal would not diminish until after the famine was over!  And she obeyed and had enough to feed the three of them until the end of the famine.  She was a woman who trusted God.

We know we are living in the End Times and Jesus said, “When ye see these things come to pass, then look up for your redemption draweth nigh! We don’t know just  what we may have to go through before He comes to take us home, but I am praying for strength so I can say like Job of old, “Tho’ He slay me, yet will I trust in Him!”   We know that if we take the mark of the beast we will be damned for all eternity.  Without God, but with Satan and his angels for all eternity!  If they only knew what hell was going to be like, I am sure nobody would want to go there!   I’m afraid so many don’t even know that Christ came to earth as a babe in a manger and died for their souls on Calvary, if they only they knew that He loved them so!  If they knew Him they wouldn’t have to worry any more!

Trusting as the moments fly.  Trusting as the days go by.  Trusting Him what ere befall.  Trusting Jesus that is all!

Just as I am and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot. To Him whose blood can cleanse each spot, Oh Lamb of God  I come, I come!

Just as I am without one plea.  But that thy blood was shed for me and that thou bidd’st me come to thee, Oh Lamb of  God I come, I come.

Just as I am tho’ tossed about with many conflict many a doubt. Fightings and fears within, without , Oh lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am wretched, blind; Sight, riches, healing of the mind,Yea all i need, in Thee to find, Oh Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive, Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse relieve; because Thy promise, I believe, Oh Lamb of God, I come, I come.
