Some people are never willing to do anything unless they are forced to, Have you ever had to do something like go shopping for things you need right now as you are expecting company? But when you go to hop in the car another friend drives in and you say “welcome” I need to get a few things before my guests arrive, To which they answer ! No,” we just came to visit with you and now you are running off on us!”. I am thinking today of our Pastor and his wife. They are an excellent couple! We really don’t want to lose them and they really don’t want to leave but God has called them to another Pastorate and they are willing to follow His leading! God bless Bro. and Sis. Decker! What an example they are to our young people, Not only our young people but to us all! I want to be willing to follow God’s plan for my life. You my say” but what could you do in your state?” Well, I know I am not in very good condition but as long as I have my breath I want to be able to tell others about my wonderful friend! I am not willing that my family perish without God! Neither do I want to see any one else go out into eternity without Jesus in their heart, not even my worst enemy! In our wedding vows I believe it said these words,Will you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband to love and to hold in sickness and in health from this day forward till death you do part?” to which we answered “I will !” I do know there are some that cannot keep their vows in the natural, but I do believe we should have this same commitment to our Lord who has done so much for us! Jesus willingly laid down His life for you and me at Calvary! How can we refuse to live for Him and to serve Him to the best of our ability? If we pray and seek His face He will show us in so many ways what He would have us do, Are we willing to do His will or do we just want to go on in our own sinful way? I think again of the story of Jonah- God called him to go to Nineveh but he chose instead to go to Tarsus, He didn’t make it to Tarsus  because of a severe storm. Why not read this story for yourself in the old Testament. The Book of Jonah only has four short chapters which you will enjoy so much! He is so wonderful to His people! You will be so glad you said “I will”. Willing to go. Willing to Stay. Willing  my place to fill, willing for service, lowly or great. Willing to do His Will”!

As I have probably said before I like to paint as well as write short stories and I have three girls who like to paint as well. This morning Emma was here and wanted Nancy to come too, as she was planning to come this afternoon anyhow. Emma is from away but was visiting me this morning, Nancy has been coming through the summer about once a week but this is the first for Emily to come and paint with us, My husband cut patterns out of wood for them to paint!l enjoy having them as much as they enjoy coming! They are planning a sleep-over tonight! We need more young people in the church who love the Lord and will seek His will for their lives. What a different world this would be if people would seek the Lord! If we could bring the young people in at an early age and teach them the ways the Lord!It would be wonderful! We need them in the church as much as they need the church! The girls dressed up and had their picture taken! They have been going from one thing to another and seem to be having the time of their life! They even had Whiskers (the bunny) in the doll carriage with a pink bow on her hair! She loved it! Well, this is another day and Nancy called to say she is coming out soon! Emily stayed all night but Nancy went home. Emma came again this morning and she and Emily are at the painting again! Emma is painting a Spiderman teddy bear and Emily painted a green neon dog. Then they put a leash on the bunny and are out walking it, or I mean it is walking them! Well, the girls have gone home and things have settled down to normal again,It was very nice having the girls,it seems to bring back the old days and memories of when our own children were at home,ps 127;2,4,&5 says ‘…children are an heritage of the Lord…as the arrows are in the hand of a mighty man,so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them,’ Little children, little children, who love their redeemer, are the jewels, precious jewels. His loved and His own. Like the stars of the morning His bright crown adorning. They shall shine in their beauty His loved and His own!

We have been invited to a wedding tomorrow and I expect to hear these two people make a commitment to each other! This is a time of great rejoicing when two people commit their lives to each other until death do us part! This was instituted by God in the beginning There are so many commitments that we can make today-but do we always keep them? We may tell someone “I am coming to visit you, never even intending at the time to keep our word I’ve always heard it said that a person is as good as his word! it seems to me that a few years ago people were more reliable than they are today. After they tell you something a few times and then never keep their word it just goes in one ear and out the other! We just stop believing them after awhile. Some may buy a house and make a commitment to a Bank or mortgage company only to go bankrupt and lose house and everything else they own. It is not good to make a commitment such as this unless you are sure you can keep it! I do know that there are times when certain things happen, such as sickness, for example, and through no fault of our own we cannot keep our commitment. The best commitment I have ever made other than my marriage vows to my husband was when I committed my life to Jesus Christ! I still get excited when I think of all He has done for me! He died and arose the third day so that I can have eternal life. He has healed my body so many times and answered so many of my prayers and I am still expecting Him to do even more! I am just holding on to His promises! 1 Peter 5;7 says “casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you!” I know He really does as He has proven it to me!Let me just tell you one thing that happened. My brother-in-law was ill and one Sunday afternoon my sister came in and told us the Doctor said it was just a matter of time. I was so upset as they had two little children who needed a father. He was pastoring a church at the time. Anyhow that night I went to church and while worshipping the Lord I saw on the front wall a scripture was being written! It is found in Psalms 27:5 Commit thy way unto the lord, trust also in Him,and He shall bring it to pass. Thank you Jesus! Within a couple days Russell went home healed by the mighty power of God! just bring all your cares to the altar, bring al your cares to the Lord! He is so willing and able to help you. Just bring all your cares to the Lord! I don’t know how He does it but he does. He takes away my sadness, gives me peace and joy and gladness. Oh,I don’t know how he does it, but He does! I will give you all! I will give you all! If all is what you ask of me,I will not withhold! Ahd if my sacrifice is less than giving you my very best, let me remember Calvary’s cost and be willing to say yes! I will give you all!

I received a phone call just the other day saying I had won a trip to the Caribbean’s! Wow! I had never won anything like that before! They tell me if something sounds to good to be true, then it isn’t! So I just said”Thank You” and hung up the phone.I haven’t heard anymore from them, whoever they are!I don’t gamble and I hadn’t bought a ticket so how could I win a cruise trip anywhere? It just didn’t make any sense to me at all! I do believe that winning is not a gift anyhow. To me a gift is when someone gives you something expecting nothing in return. I received a gift in the mail yesterday from a very dear cousin. She sent me a scarf pin that belonged to her late mother (my Aunt). It is a beautiful pin and I thought so much of my aunt , it makes the gift that much more precious! Thank you so much JUNE CAR0L BUG, i will always cherish that gift! I am just like everyone else in that I do enjoy receiving gifts, but I do think I enjoy giving them even more! It just makes me feel really good to be able to do something for someone else! My Bible tells me it is more blessed to give than to receive. It may not be a gift of money or anything like that, If I can just give of my time to someone who is lonely, or it may be just a word of encouragement or perhaps in talking without knowing a situation you may give a word of advice which is just what is needed without realizing it at the time! I received a comment on my blog site the other day that simply said “Actually you solved my problem, Thank You”! I don’t know the one who sent it to me! Now that made me feel realy good to think that with the Lord’s help I may hve been able to help someone else a bit! I love to give to others. You may say How could you help? You are far from rich!” Truer words were never spoken but just to give of ourselves. perhaps a short visit or a phone call, a helping hand, may be just what someone needs and it is so appreciated! There is joy in giving and I found it to be true. The more we give to Jesus the more He will give to you! So give ’till you can’t give anymore. Give more than you can afford! You will find your cup will overflow, for you can’t out give the Lord!

How many times have you been warned by your parents as a child “now don’t do this or that,I’m warning you!” If you did what they told you not to do then there were consequences! I never liked the consequences so I tried to stay away from these things. I remember not being allowed to hang out with certain friends as I would be apt to get in trouble! I sure wasn’t happy at the time but I am certainly thankful that they were so concerned about me! That was in the days when parents were allowed to punish their children for wrong doing and it didn’t hurt us one bit! If today parents were allowed to punish their children without the law stepping in I do believe this old world would be a whole lot different! Perhaps you are like me in that you are afraid of lightening! I know of other people who are,and I also know of those who love to watch it! I don’t like to be alone in a thunder shower and I am absolutely terrified of a heavy shower in the middle of the night! I like to listen to the weather forcast, if it says there is a watch out for severe thunder showers and high winds I just almost go into a tailspin. If it says there is a warning out for our area I almost freak out! Another warning I am afraid of is when there is a serial killer on the loose! I know there is not one thing I can do about these things but they still happen. They give warnings so that we can try to protect ourselves! Ezekiel 3:18 says “When I say unto the wicked,Thou shalt surely die, and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way to save his life the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. vs.19 Yet if thou warn the wicked and he turn not from his wickedness nor from his wicked way he shall die in his iniquity but how hast delivered thy soul! in Acts 10>22 we read that Cornelius ,the centurion,a just man,who feared God,and of good report among all the nations of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for Peter to come into his house and to hear his words! He told them how Jesus had died and was raised the third day that it is he which was ordained of God to be the judge of quick and dead. He told them that He commanded us to preach unto the people that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet space these words, the Holy ghost fell on all them which heard the word. People were astonished because that on the Gentiles also was poured the gift of the Holy Ghost, For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord (which is Jesus)! I’m so thankful for His Word, it is so powerful and was written so that we today can read and understand and be warned by Peter just as Cornelius was away back there. It is still relevant for us today! thank You Jesus! Judgment is coming, all will be there, each one receiving justly his due, Hide in the saving, sin cleansing blood,”And I will pass, will pass over you.” When I see the blood, when I see the blood, When I see the blood, I will pass, I will pass over you!

In my last story I wrote that I’ll fly away and I really believe this with all my heart! I am not looking forward to death when I say that either!  I know that could happen to any of us at any time, we don’t have any promise for the morrow, but especially it could happen to me as .I have several Health problems, but that is not what I was referring to! As a teenager I always liked to travel. I know I didn’t get very far back there but I did get to visit some of the United States and other parts of Canada. But my travelling all ended when I married my husband ,other than taking my children and I to PEI ,and Nova Scotia and around the North Shore while on a short vacation , as he is not a traveler! He always claimed that after running the roads all day as a ser vice technician he didn’t feel like more travelling but I thought he did pretty good to take us on these small vacations!  It seems to me that we have done more travelling in the last few years since our daughter lives in Montreal and we have visited her on several occasions!

I have a friend who has travelled a lot as it is part of her job, I think she has probably been around the world! I know for sure she has had several trips to China! You know what? I don’t even envy these people who travel like this anymore. One reason for this is because of my health that won’t allow me to go anymore, the other reason being that I would be too nervous with all that is going on in this old world today! I wouldn’t want to be taken captive or put in prison in another country! I guess I am just a wimp!

Many people believe that you can’t know where you are going when you die. I say that we can know if we are going to heaven or hell. St.John ch,14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God Believe also in me.In my father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so,  I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that.where  I am,  there ye may be also,  further down in that same chapter vs.19 because I live,ye shall live also! Thank You, Jesus, for this promise!      The Book of Revelations tells us what is going to take place after the rapture of the church and  I   sure  don’t want to be here after the rapture 0f the Church  and God’s wrath is poured out upon this old world!  I’ll be gone, I’ll be gone when the tribulation enters,  I’ll be gone!  when the trump of   God shall sound with a shout I’ll leave the ground. when the tribulation enters I’ll be gone!

I’m gonna be gone in the twinkling of an eye! I’m gonna be gone, won’t have time to say goodbye I’m gonna be gone, could be while I’m singing this song! I ‘m gonna be gone, and it won’t be long, I’m gonna be gone!

I think it was before I was married that I had my first airplane ride if my memory serves me right, anyhow I fell in love with flying.  Dad was living at the time and he wanted to go for an airplane ride; so, on a Sunday afternoon my hubby and dad and I all went for a ride.  The young pilot took us up over Mactaquac and brought us back down over Ripples.  He was flying very low.  There was a man we all knew well walking down the road.  When he heard the plane he stopped and looked up to see the plane.  The pilot waved the wings at him as we went on our way.  After that we went every once in a while.  My brother and sister in law went up once too.  We felt like we were being lifted in a basket in the small plane.

Anyhow our first real flight in a larger plane was to Montreal with my son in law’s mother.  We left  Fredericton at 5pm and landed in Montreal at 5 pm their time.  They were just on hour behind us.  It was a very rough flight in a thunder shower.  The first thing we did after we were air bound, they brought us supper which included a hot cup of tea that we could hardly drink because it was splashing all over.  However, we arrived safely and our son in law picked us up at the airport.  I stayed up with Cindy for a few days and flew back by myself.  We have flown up many times since then.  We flew up one April in time for Rebecca’s birthday and when we left here the sun was shining and we just wore our shoes.  About half way there, it started snowing.  The pilot found it hard to see so we flew very low over a river until he came to the airport.  They told us that we may have to go to Toronto because of the storm but when we got there they decided to try to land.  The runway was not ploughed and there was about 7 inches of snow on the ground which made for a rough landing.  They stopped way out on the tarport and we waded through the snow to the airport in just our shoes.  This was one plane ride that I will never forget!  We have gone since then – on one trip my friend Marlene went with me.  It was a beautiful day and we watched another jet being refueled in the air.  It was really a sight to behold.

One day soon I’m going to take another flight; not just an ordinary flight on an airplane.  Jesus will be my pilot!  I cannot imagine what it’s going to be like but I do know that when the trumpet sounds we’ll be caught away.  I Thess. 4:16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: v17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”  This is one flight that I don’t want to miss; I don’t want to be late and don’t want to have any extra baggage to weigh me down.  I want to be watching and waiting and listening for the trumpet to sound.  “When my pilot comes I’ll take an airplane ride, Won’t that be grand with Jesus by my side, Up above the sun and moon, up above the sky, when my Pilot comes I’ll take an airplane ride”.  I’ll fly away, oh glory, I’ll fly away, When I die Hallelujah by and by, I’ll fly away!
