                                                                                                                   AFTER CHRISTMAS IS OVER

Once again Christmas  has come and gone. The tree has been put away along with the decorations.Another year is about to come upon us .I am thankful for the country in which we live, but the world is in such a mess we sometimes wonder if we will ever see another Christmas.I thank God that His hand of protection has been upon us through this past year, while other country’s have had such  pain and misery .I don’t know how much longer Canada will be blessed ,as they have taken prayer out of our schools they want Christ out of our homes.Parent and teachers are no longer allowed to discipline the children , now the children are telling their superiors what to do and if they don’t do the law is behind them. The bible tells us to honour our  father and mother also  our elders. The bible tell us as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man ,they were eating and drinking ,marrying  and giving in marriage until the flood came and destroyed them all.The bible tells us that Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed because of their wickedness, although God warned them by sending a warning .today we have Gods word telling us that if we don’t change our ways and seek His face destruction will fall upon us also.He paid the price at Calvary that we could have everlasting life.all we have to do is accept what He has paid for.Jesus is the way maker!!!!I’m so glad He found me ,with love He bound me ,put

His arms around me ,and He lead me to the shelter, now i’m one of his own            Happy New year may God richly bless each and every one!!!!!!!!!!

My dad was what I would call a real hunter as he just loved to hunt!
When duck season opened he would be off.  A couple of days before the season opened he would gather all his hunting gear so he wouldn’t forget anything on that special day!  The first morning of duck hunting he was off on his way down to his camp, he would then get in his canoe and continue down river to his favorite hunting place where he would have his blind all ready.
About 10 AM he would come home for a short nap with a bunch of ducks that we would clean and cook for supper before he would go on his way again and come home around 8 PM.  By the time he got back from down river it was dark.
Now my brother Len has taken his place.  He and Shirley go down to their camp and stay the first few days along with their grandkids.  I also have a son who loves to hunt!  He too hunts ducks, deer and anything else the season is open for.  In fact he has a special permit to hunt certain things all year long.
It seems as if I am always hunting for something around the house, as I am always misplacing things!  Now this isn’t done on purpose and it gets more frustrating each time it happens.  As sure as I put something up for safe keeping it never seems to return and that is the last that is ever seen of it!
There is something else that I always seem  to be hunting for and that is when a scripture comes to mind.  I always have to look for it in the Bible as I can’t seem to remember where they are found!  I have found something that I don’t have to go hunting for anymore and that is something that satisfies my heart’s desire and every longing of my soul.  It is more precious than silver and gold! I wouldn’t trade it for anything this world has to offer.  It is call Salvation through the precious blood of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!  He is always there for me and will be there for you too!  I am so glad He came to earth as a babe in a manger and gave his life on Calvary so that we can have eternal life.  The most miraculous part of it all is that He didn’t stay in the tomb but arose on the third day just as He said He would do!  If you don’t know Him today why not try Him just by calling on His name, JESUS please have mercy on me and invite Him into your heart.  Make it a great Christmas you will never forget!
Mercy rewrote my life, mercy rewrote my life.  I should have fallen, my soul cast down, but mercy rewrote my life!

Waiting1 How long have you waited? Waiting lately seems to be the story of my life! I never liked to wait but I guess perhaps I needed to learn to be more patient. Roy is having a bone scan and I am waiting in the car. I didn’t need to come with him but thought it was senseless to so at home alone until he gets through this afternoon. I do worry about him on the roads by himself especially in a storm and it is raining very hard today and I am afraid it will start to freeze and we will really be in trouble! We had a little visit with Gladys Tapley who was 101 yrs old on Oct. 7th. She is a very smart lady with an extremely alert mind! We visited while Roy had a two hour wait after his injection before he could have his scan and we then went to visit the shop where he worked for about forty years, for about l/2 hour. Then it was back to the hospital and then to Future where he picked up a wireless adapter for my computer. He then went to Giant Tiger and John Contu. By this time it was long past lunch time so we went and had a donair and headed for home. I know to most people our home would look humble but to me it was so sweet to get home! i know I am a real pest to him at times and I must cause him a lot of frustration but I do love to be where he is after all he is a wonderful hubby! Everyone is so good to me and I am so grateful for a wonderful family. I Thank God for being so good to me! I feel bad when I look back down through the years and think of the many times I didn’t have patience with my own children.I would want them to do something right when I told them to do it, not realizing that one day I would have to learn always to wait for all things. I would love to be independent, able to do everything for myself but that is not at all possible! Lately I don’t mind waiting as I keep busy as I sit and write stories as I an doing now or just watch people as they go past. Everyone is so different, God made us all so unique I love to watch folk and think about their different ways, wonder if they are truly happy and even get a chance to sit and pray for them! I can also use this waiting time to talk to the Lord and draw closer to my Lord Jesus!I love these times of waiting and talking to Him, asking Him for protection and salvation for my family and others! We can have great conversations while just waiting. One day soon our waiting will be over as He is coming to take us home! What a wonderful day that will Be. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 says For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them which also sleep in the LORD Jesus will God bring with Him, For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the LORD shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words! Friends, please don;to get tired of waiting for His return and give up as many have, for he is coming in an hour when we think not! I want to be found waiting for his return! He is coming back He said He would, praise His Holy Name,He’s coming back again

Are you on the way home? Perhaps you have been on a long tiring trip and right now all you want to do is just get home and settled in once again! I know the feeling, although I really haven’t travelled very much. Right now I am constantly at home as I have that dreaded disease ( ) and I haven’t been able to travel for about two years and I really would love to take a little trip to visit my daughter in Montreal. I get so tired of sitting at home day and night but I really don’t have the energy to get ready to go anywhere! It seems I have so many things that I would like to do like visit people who are ill and try to help others but unless God undertakes I think those days are over. However on the way home we see all kinds of sights. Once on our trip home from Montreal we seen another plane being refueled in the air. To me this was something spectular as I had never seen it happen before. Another time there was a whole field of snow geese, just beautiful! One thing I don’t like to come upon is an accident One time we came across an acciodent where a woman had died, it wasn’t a very pretty sight. It is also very pretty on a cold winter night with the ground whire wit.h snow and hugh snowflakes swsirling around, It can also be veey scary diving in a storm. We have driven home in two very bad storms when we didn’t know if we would be able to make it or not! Sometimes we have to climb steep mountains and cross over high hills and streasms, but we must keep our eyes on the road at all times! Once again we are on our way home Sometimes the way is so rough we mwy wonder if we should go on While other times we grow weary from climbing as there just seems to be one hill after another! We wwre neve promised an easy road nor were we promised that we would never have a flat rire or some engine problems along the way! BUT if the Master Machanic is at the controls we will be sure to get home without too many problems! Here too, we must keep our eyes on the goal which is heaven and the Master Jesus will be our guide! He knows where each rough spot is and will carry us over each one if we will just trust Him to do this for us. We must hang on to Him each mile of the way so we wont get side swiped or go over a cliff. When Satan comes along to buffet us and tries to drag us back we can just tell him to flee in Jesus Name and He will have to go.! I am tired and so weary but I must toil on, till the Lord comes to call me away. Where the morning is bright and the lamb is the light and the night is as fair as the dsy, oh yes. Though rough the road. though steep the climb still I’ll carry right on for Iv’e started out and I’m going to make it. This race that I have begun! Oh, I know that I can make it, Jesus put it in my will. To reach the nesw Jerusalem, each step is a thrill tho the devil wars against me, tries to hinder my clim; I see the lights there in the distance, It’s just a matter of timr! This world, this world is not my home, This world, this world is not my home. this world is not my resting place. This world. this world is not my home!
