Have you ever tried to reach something and just as you went to grasp it, had it slip out of your reach once again?  You may say “if only I could  extend my hand just a wee bit further so that I could get that thing”.  Perhaps you may not quite understand how this could be. Well,  there was a time when I didn’t think it would ever happen to me either, but it has!  So, my husband went to the Dollar Store and  purchased me an extended hand!  It is a great little gadget that I use a lot! In fact, I’m on my third one , as I kept putting it down beside my lift  chair and forgetting it was there and coming down on it only to find when I wanted to use it again  that it was broken,  Now I try to remember to hang it  close by each time I use it!  On remembering back I always wanted to be an extended hand!  When I was younger, even when my children were little, I would drive the elderly to their doctor appointments, grocery shopping. Etc. When my children were grown I found myself doing even more  of this type of thing. Sometimes sitting with an ill spouse while others took another family member running their errands!
Today I’m not able to get around and I Haven’t driven my car for about six years so I find it rather lonely sometimes, but I am blessed with family and friends! Also excellent care  givers who really care!  I would still love to be an extended hand if it be only a sounding board for somebody who is oppressed and down! I know I couldn’t do this on my own but with God;s help and wisdom that comes only from Him I think I could do it!  Pro, 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand’ but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. Proverb. 12”24  The hand of the diligent shall bear rule…25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop but a good work maketh it glad.  I would love to be able help some oppressed soul with a good work to make them glad!
Like  that little chorus says: Just to be a hand extended, reaching  out to the oppressed!  Let me touch Him, oh, let me touch Jesus, so that others may know and be blessed!
For touching Jesus is all that really matters, and then your life will never be the same! There is only but one way to touch Him. Just believe when you call on His name!

I can remember how excited I was on my first day at the little country one room school house! It was a time never to be forgotten! I had wanted to go to school because my older brother and sister were both going and were teaching me at home so I really wanted to go with them to school. In order to go to school away back there I had to get permission from the school board, so I went to visit my future father-in-law, who told me that , yes, I could start to school after Easter Holidays were ended! I can tell you I was one excited and happy girl! At the end o f that term , my dear old teacher, Bless her heart, put me in grade Two, for which I was always very once grateful for as I was out of school a full year early, but was always the youngest pupil in my class all through school! I can still remember the Graduation which my mother held for me and also my Sister-in-law, Shirley. It really was time of excitement! It seems there was always some excitement back there when I stop to think back!                                                                                                              Of all the times of excitement I think my most excited time was when we got a new Pastor and  his wife, whom I dearly loved, started  having  a children’s service on  Saturday  after- noon at 1pm.    We always had a fun time!  Every time there was a special occasion there was a party for us.  I didn’t want to leave when I turned 14 years. so they had me help out for awhile! By this time the Mowatts had gone to Cyr Lanka as missionaries, but her sister, Ruth Green was voted in as our Pastor, and everyone really loved her, too. When the Holy Spirit began moving in the children’s services Revival broke out which affected the whole community! I believe there were 17 who received the Holy Ghost at that time! Bro. C.B, Dudley had come for special services!  What a glorious time was had by  all! After this we had another pastor, Bro. Arthur Mac Elroy and  his wife and their sweet little girl, Brenda Mae,  (now known as Brenda Mae Brooker, come to Pastor.  They were loved by the whole community!  In those days there was no car for the Pastor so they bundled their little one up and put her on a sled or wagon and away they went on visitation! They would walk clear down to Lakeville 5 miles away.  There was no wonder the whole community loved them!   Since that time we have had various Pastors who were all very good and highly esteemed! Included in these were Bro.& Sis. Frank McCarty who was Bro. Don McCarty’s parents,  Bro. & Sis. Stephen Tompkins &family, Bro. & Sis Landon Decker. At least twice we have had Bro. Swim and his good wife as Interim Pastor!.  Now we have Bro. & Sis Donald McCarty back as full time Pastor!  We are excited! God has been so very good to us and He still is!  We are still expecting a real move  of His spirit in these last days!  2 Chron. 7:14 says “ If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways ; then will I hear from Heaven , and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”!  Do you want to know why I AM SO EXCITED? It is because I  am really looking forward to this great Revival!  Praise HIS  HOLY  NAME!   I’m  excited, I’m excited, I’m excited in the Lord! I’m excited, I’m excited, I’m excited in the lord!  I’m  excited,  I’m excited, I’m excited in the Lord!  When you walk with the Lord, you won’t get bored!  Hallelujah!  Amen!

10/14/20/12=As you probably know   I am a poor person to talk about knowledge since I  haven’t had a college education  although in 72 years of hard knocks I may have learned a few things that will help somebody else along life’s way who  may also be in a similar situation!  When  I was younger I was always so shy that I just couldn’t talk or speak up for myself! Since  most people  who knew me knew this, I was being blamed for a lot for things that I didn’t do. But I  couldn’t  seem to protect myself, just went on letting people think what they wanted to of me! This may not have been the best thing to do but I always told myself that as long as God knew what I did and didn’t do, I wasn’t going to worry about it!  I just went to the Lord with it all knowing that in the end everything would work out for me, and it did, I didn’t have to fight about it at all!  If these things happened today I’m afraid it may be a different story! But it was good for m!e to learn more about trusting God!  He is concerned about our every and smallest need! He knows about it all, and He doesn’t go about gossiping about all our faults!  Wouldn’t it  be nice to have  even a little of God’s knowledge?  Ps.19:1&2says  The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.

Isa.28;9 says Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall hen make to understand doctrine?….for precept must be upon precept; line upon line. here a little and there a little; vs.11  For with a stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. vs.12 To whom He said This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest, and this the refreshing  yet they would not hear. Does this not sound like this old world today? People just won’t  listen  to  the voice of God, in fact , most of the people don’t even want their children  taught about God in the schools anymore!  ]eremiah 3;15 He said in talking with backsliding Israel …turn ,O backsliding children, saith the Lord, I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Down in verse 10  He said Behold the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach , they have no joy in it!  Hosea 4&8 says, my people are destroyed   for lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.  Habbakuk 2:14  For the earth shall be filled with the glory of the  knowledge of the  lord as the waters cover the sea,   MAL.4&7 the  Priest lips should keep knowledge  and they should seek  the law at his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of host! I do pity those poor preachers on the day that the Lord comes to take His people home,  can just imagine them with swarms of people about them crying out “Why, oh why, did you not tell us the truth?”  But they came a day too late!

So you see, my friend, I want to have knowledge of God’s plan of salvation now before it is too late!  Jesus is coming very soon, I believe it is a lot sooner than we  think, J really believe this  with all my heart! I wouldn’t want to  see even my worst   enemy go to hell of utter darkness according to what He tells  us in His Word.. and there will be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth throughout the countless of eternity while the children of God are enjoying  Eternity with Him.  I want to be ready to meet Him in the sky!  I want to be ready \to meet  Him Bye and bye. I want to be more like Him and do His blest command. For I want to be ready to meet Him in the sky!

It shall flow like a river!  It shall fall like the rain!  It shall rise like the dew of the early morning!  And the knowledge of the Lord shall fill all the Earth and the Spirit of the Lord shall fall!

So Let’s Be Thankful!

Well, it’s that time of the year again, when we can give thanks for all our many blessings!  As I think back over this past year I have so many things to be thankful for!  I am so grateful that He has given me another year to live, for the breath that we breathe.  I know that most of us just take this for  granted  until we can’ t do it very well on our own anymore, then we are thankful for each one we take! I am thankful for my wonderful husband and my family who are so good to me and care for me every day.  I am also thankful for so many very good friends who visit us throughout the year, and for all my good home care workers who take care of me in my own home, otherwise I’m afraid I would have to go to a nursing home. I am thankful for my home that  He has provided for me, for my food and drink!  So you see I have so many material things top be thankful for!  Like that little chorus goes..I have a roof up above me. I have a good place to sleep!  I have food on  my table and shoes on my feet. You gave me your Love Lord ands a fine family. I just thank you Lord for your blessings on me!

Most of all I thank the Lord for His great Love for me!  He loved me so much that he looked ahead in time and saw that I needed someone to wash my sins away, so he became my supreme sacrifice and went to that old rugged cross for me and for you!  oh, how He loved me!  He willingly gave His life for me! But He didn’t stop there! Death could not stop Him!  He arose from the dead and after telling his disciples He was ascending on high but would not leave them  comfortless, He would come to them by His spirit!   He told them to go to the Upper Room and wait for His spirit to be poured out upon them, after this they would receive power to be witnesses of Him!  He was also baptized by John for our example!  He made it so easy for us to be saved, all we have to do is to follow his example we must repent of our sins, be baptized in HIS LOVELY NAME for the remission of sin and He would graciously  fill us with His Holy Spirit! Then He would return for His people and take us  home to reign with Him throughout the countless ages of eternity!  Oh how I love  Him !  I’m so thankful for Him!  Thank you Jesus!

I searched for Him and I knew not what I searched for! I longed for Him and I knew not what I longed for!  Then I found Jesus and I knew that I would search no more!  He filled that longing down in my soul!      So let us be Thankful unto Him and give praise to His Holy Name!
