.When I was a child I loved to play Questions and Answers! It was always lots of fun! 1f you have never played it before I will explain it to you! We always had lots of laughs! The more people you have to play the more fun it is. You divide the people into two equal groups with a leader for each side. One leader will whisper a question to each person on his side while the other leader whispers an answer to each person on his side. Then start with the question and the first answer, and keep going down the line! We had an old gentlemen staying with us at one time and when it came his partner’s turn to ask him a question she asked “how old are you?” His answer was “I’m too old to cut the mustard” I can still hear them laughing, he was a little quiet man , but sat there shaking and the tears rolling down his cheeks, while the others roared with laughter! Our daughter and her husband just brought us home from a day trip to St.Andrews which I really enjoyed! When we came in the house she asked me if it played me out, if I was tired? This sort of made me laugh as I so easily play completely out, but not today! I thoroughly enjoyed myself! There are all kinds of questions a person could ask, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to answer them. However, I would like to try to answer some questions that some people may like to have answers to. (1) What is the Bible? The Bible is God’s Holy Word! Throughout the old testament there is a theme of expectation and longing to find God! Job said, “oh that I knew where I might find Him.” Within the heart of every man there is a longing to fill that empty space which was put there by God. Eternity is in the heart of every man, and nothing can fill that longing but the eternal God!; (2) Who wrote the Bible? the old Testament was written over a period of 1400 years by thirty-two writers and covers a period of 3600 years of man’s day. These writers came from all walks of life. yet each is in perfect harmony with all the rest.Read 11 Peter 1:21. The Bible has no scientific mistakes because God knew every fact of science from the beginning! The most important thing is the Bible has not changed. The old testament was a constant searching and seeking for the more perfect way! The Bible tells us that that the prophets of old enquired and searched diligently for this salvation that we enjoy today! Read 1 Peter 1:10-12,The old testament was our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. The word testament means a will. God entered into a new will with His children, and from Matthew to Revelation we have the revelation of that will. A will is of no value until the testator is dead, so the full revelation was not made known until after Christ death, which was followed by His resurrection. The new testament is composed of 27 books, with eight authors over a period of one hundred years. The first four books are known as the gospels. The book of Acts tells us how to become Christians, The epistles tell us how to live the Christian life. These books were written to people who were already christians , therefore there were no instructions given them how to be saved as they had already been born Again of the water and the spirit by receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost! The Apostle Paul wrote fourteen of these books, they are called the Pauline Epistles, the other seven epistles were written by four men. There is only one book of prophesy in the new testament it is called the Book of Revelation which was written by the apostle John! (3) Who was Jesus Christ? Divinity and Humanity are united in the person of Jesus Christ, making Him both God and Man! Isaiah 7:14 states behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son (flesh) and thou shalt all his name Immanuel “God with us”! Again in Isa.9:6 we read…Unto us a child is born (humanity) unto us a son (Humanity) is given…and His name shall be called the mighty God (Divinity) …the everlasting Father (Divinity” John 1:1 All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made! Therefore we know that He is the mighty God! Jesus was in the world and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.John 1:10..His duel nature was evidenced when he said, "destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.John 2:19. Acts 2:32 states This Jesus hath God raised up! ! Peter 3:18 declares that He was quickened by the Spirit”& (4) Well then, how can I be saved? You must first believe that God is and is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Then you must obey what Peter told them to do in order to be saved according to Acts 2:38. Why not just taste and see that the Lord is good! The mighty God is Jesus, the Prince of Peace is He! The everlasting father, Our king eternally! The wonderful in wisdom, by whom all things were made. The fullness of the Godhead in Jesus is displayed! How great is our God! How great is His name! He’s the greatest one, forever the same. He rolled back the waters of the mighty Red Sea, and He said i’m going to lead you, Put your trust in me!
