Have you ever had someone caring for you and you got attached to them, they said “I will never leave you” but the first thing you know they are being pulled out to care for somebody else! Perhaps you and your boyfriend/girlfriend has broken up and now you just don’t feel that you can go on without them! Now you feel so alone and unloved! Or, perhaps your best friend has left town and you feel friendless once again! Your  husband/wife has left you after all these years and you have never felt so alone in all your lifetime, you are just broken hearted, wondering how you are ever going to make it through this one! After all, they had promised to stick with you through thick and thin, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, till death us do part.  Or perhaps you may have lost a loved one through death, when things are settled down after the funeral is over and you are once again left alone, you can do nothing but weep!  It is in times like this that we really need a friend that will never leave us nor forsake us!

You may ask “is it possible to have such a friend as this?”  I want to assure you, yes, there is one who is just waiting to be that kind of a friend to you! His name is Jesus, the Lord of Lords and King of all Kings!  Hebrews 13;5 says ‘let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he has said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man shall do unto me! If you are afraid of being left alone psalms 34:7 tells us the angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them!  verse 8 O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in Him! Verse 18 “l will not leave you comfortless;I will come to you! John 14;1-3 Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also!

No, never alone, no never alone. He promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone. No never alone, No, never alone. He promised never to leave me. never to leave me alone!

I’ll never be  lonely again, never again for I have opened my heart’s door to Him. So, I’ll just brush away my tears and forget my foolish fears.  I’ll never be lonely again, never again

Constantly abiding, Jesus is mine. constantly abiding, rapture divine’ He will never leave me lonely, whispers oh so  kind “I will never leave thee” Jesus is mine!

I know I have already written about “are you ready” but today I want to ask you this question, ‘Are you ready to leave”?

If my husband happens to go out I will most always say “Where are you going?” or “are you ready to leave”?  I just don’t like to see anyone leave if they are not ready to go! For instance my hubby went to church on Sunday morning but when he  got there, he happened to look down at his feet and lo and behold, he had forgotten his shoes! He did have his crocks one. While some  laughed  about this  it could have easily ruined the service for him, had he let it, but he just laughed and “said nothing I can do about it now!”  He had left the house before he was ready to leave!

Now I want to seriously ask you this question! Are you really ready to leave if Jesus should return for his people this very minute?  Have you repented of your sin, been baptized in Jesus Name and have received the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance and living                 a holy life that is pleasing to Him?  Yes, I know we are not perfect, nor can we expect to be until we see Christ, but  His Word tells us if any man sin we have an advocate with Jesus Christ the Righteous!  If we are repentant and go to Him in prayer He will forgive us our sin!  Isn’t God good?  What a hope we have in Him!  Heb.9:28  So Christ was once offered for the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation!Heb.12&14  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the lord!Ready to leave in the twinkling of an eye, making investments in the Bank up in  the sky, Happy preparations, not a reason to grieve,  Are you in that number getting ready to leave?

How many times have we said ‘well, you have a choice, do you want to go here or not? or do you want to do this or not? It’s your choice”.I can think of so many times that I have made a choice just to please somebody else and was so discussed with myself later for making the wrong choice.  I can remember going to a party at work one time, not knowing what I was getting into, but from the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I shouldn’t  have been there!  Talk about feeling out of place, they’re parties were different then any I had imagined going to!  I couldn’t participate in what they were doing and had to sit there and wait for my ride home!  The friend that wanted me to go with her, felt the same way I did, so we just sat there like dummies! That was my last work party!  But,it was my choice , and I had made the wrong one! There are many times that I also made the right choice! For this I am very happy!  Life could have been so very different for me had I gone the way I was headed.  But when I went to the Lord, He directed my life for me!  He alone knew what lay ahead in my future.  I am so happy he gave me Roy  as my husband  otherwise I  could have been somewhere in a nursing home!  I have Parkinson’s Disease but he takes wonderful care of me!

Most important of all I have Jesus Christ as my Saviour! I am so glad I made Him my choice before all these other choices!  You see He gave me my choice, I could choose  to go live for Him or go my own sinful way.  Yes, I was a sinner, born in sin and shaped in iniquity   just as everyone else was!  Rom 3:23 says “For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God!” He. 9:28  “ So Christ was once offered to put away the sins of many; and unto them  that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation!  Heb. 12;22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith  without wavering (for he is faithful that promised)  Now on to verse 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ,  but exhorting one another , and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. So it is still my choice, if I want to make it in I have to obey His Word! You have the same choice as I do, He said “Whosoever will may come”!  Won’t you make Him your choice today?

I ’m too near to my home, too near heaven’s reward.  I’ll not turn back from Him, I’ve made my choice!

For there is nothing worthwhile for which to go back to, Praise the Lord!  Sweet Heavens in view!  I’m too

near my Heavenly Home to turn back now!

ONLY ONE WAY!

ONLY ONE WAY!
Have you ever gotten onto a one way street and didn’t know how to get off? It is really scarey and you just don’t know what to do! When they first started the one way streets in Fredericton my brother didn’t realize which one was one way, so he went down Queen Street. When he came to the corner of Queen and Carleton there was a Policeman there who stopped him and said” you are on a one way street”, whereupon my brother just put it in reverse and went flying backward up the street! There couldn’t have been anything behind him that early morning when he left that policeman standing there scratching his head!
I remember when my Dad was living that he wanted to go to Oromocto, I was driving along and not paying attention, went up the ramp instead of going around the loop. Dad was very upset with me, but I was very fortunate that nothing was coming toward me! The Bible tells us there is but one way of Salvation Acts 16:16 &17 tells us that as they went to prayer a certain damsel followed them, possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying, the same followed Paul and us and cried saying.”These men are servants of the most High God, which shew unto us the way of salvation! And this she did many days; But Paul being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. 1 Sam. 12:23 God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way.I often hear people say”All roads lead to Heaven” That is not what the Bible tells us! Isa 55:8 says neither are your ways my way saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Matt.7;13 Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at verse 14 Because strait is the Gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.Matt.22”16…master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth.
John 10:1 Jesus said “ Verily, verily. I say unto you, he that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber” verse 7 Jesus said “I am the door of the sheep by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved” John 13.6 Jesus saith..I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the father but by me! 1 Cor12:31…and yet I show unto you a more excellent way! Jesus said iv ACTS 10;30 I and my father are one! Gal. 3:27 For as many of you who have been baptized into Christ have put on ‘Christ. There is but one way to be saved according to Acts 2:38. When they asked Peter what must we do to be saved? He said Repent and be baptized every one of you In THE Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost! One, One, One, One way to God! One, One, One, One way to God! One, One, One way to God, Baptized in Jesus Name!

According to my dictionary Strive means to put forth strong effort or to struggle vigorously!  I believe that is what we need to do in today’s world, there is so much corruption. We really need to put forth that extra effort to do what we believe is right. Most people have to struggle vigorously just to get by, paying bills, etc.  People are losing their homes, marriages are breaking up, children are left alone, and there are so many street people! It isn’t really safe to walk down the street alone at night anymore! I can remember many years while living in Fredericton, walking home after working all evening , those 13 blocks were quite dark at that time and I was scared out of my wits when I would meet an old drunk coming towards me!  Now this didn’t happen very often as I would cross over the street before he got to me, so it wasn’t too bad.  Today I wouldn’t think of walking from downtown  Queen Street to uptown Dundonald Street late at night!  Drugs were not even thought about back in those days, only alcohol!

There was a time right after we were married when we were striving just to get by.  We had three children under four years of  age and Roy wasn’t making over $75.00 a week, but we got through that time with the help of the Lord!  Roy even built a house, himself, along with our Pastor’s help! Roy wasn’t a carpenter but with determination, he finished the home we have today! He went to the woods and cut the trees, took them to the mill and sawed them into lumber and built our home!  But he had to strive to do this!  There are all kinds of things people strive for, the Olympics, the Hall of Fame, at work you strive to get ahead, you strive to reach the top and all the millionaires strive to make more money!

So few people stop to think about Heaven! Jesus said in Luke 13:24 STRIVE to enter in at the strait gate:for many I say unto you will seek to enter in and shall not be able. He goes on to say When once the Master of the house is risen up and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without and to knock at the door, saying”Lord, Lord ,open unto us” and He shall answer and say unto you, “I know you not whence ye are”. Then shall ye say “we have eaten and drunk in thy presence and thou hast taught in our streets” But He shall say “depart from me, I know you not, all ye workers of iniquity”. “There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east and the west, from the north and the south and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.”   Friend, wont you strive to enter in before it is too late?  One door and only one, and yet it’s sides are two. inside and outside.on which side are you?  one door and only one,and yet it’s sides are two. I’m on the inside, on which side are you?
